Villia put away the journal which is already shabby due to its age carefully on her bag.
For Villia, this old journal has become one of her most important possession, as this journal is a journal that has accompanied Father Lichenmi since he's young. His experience, insight, opinion, dreams, and many other things are written in this journal.
Ensuring the journal is safe in the bag. Villia cast the spell 「Black Color」 on her hair and eyes. It's one of the utility spells she creates by engulfing the part she wants to change the color with shadow, which turn her eyes and hair into black.
The spell is derived from 「Blind Eye」, a skill of Lumina Church which makes the enemy blind for a moment by engulfing their eyes with shadow. All of the victims who got attacked by this magic will have their eyes turns black, which inspire Villia to use this skill to disguise herself, every time she goes to town.
Of course, using this skill on oneself, especially on eyes will make the user blind. But Villia who got the Blessings of Lumina can normally see, no matter how dark or bright it is, which ensure her to use this skill as freely as she likes.
After her hair and eyes change into black, Villia took off the nun's habit she uses while praying and start to wear black clothes that she took from the bag. Villia appearance and vibe drastically changes after she wore the black clothes. It's like they're two different people, yet they're one of the same.
If someone says she's as beautiful and kind as an angel when they saw her in nun clothes, they will also say that she's cold and bloodthirsty more than a demon when she wore those black assassin clothes.
Villia who finish wearing her assassin clothes put on her hood which covers most of her face, while the shadow that engulfs her hair before, will make people unable to look at her face if they didn't look straight at her face. Even so, not many people will try to look at her face as her bloodthirsty aura are enough to scare them away.
All of this is preparation to make her unrecognizable for Trelia Way. Although she's not an assassin of Trelia Way anymore and even Trelia Way might think that she has already died 4 years ago. Being cautious is always better than none, and using her usual appearance while doing her secret job, will only spell doom for her future effort in recruiting believer.
"Status." Villia close her eyes, and silently think of that word inside her mind.
Name: Villia Lainiesta
Title: Fallen Noble Girl, Wise Child, Genius Assassin, A-ranked Adventurer, Corrupt Annihilator, Last Believer of Lumina.
Class: Expert Alchemist (Lvl 3), Advanced Assassin (Lvl 10), Intermediate Nun (Lvl 7), Intermediate Actress (Lvl 6)
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Lumina Church
Talent: Observation (S), Assassination (A), Acting (A), Hidden.
Skill: Blessing of Lumina (Lvl 1), Status Viewer(MAX), Hidden.
A row of words instantly appears inside of her minds. None of this come as a surprise to her, as this is her innate ability, Status Viewer.
Status Viewer — Villia innate ability, a Unique skill among other unique skills, which is rarely granted to people of this world. Many people know about the existent of Unique skills, yet there's no way to prove it, and those who have it would keep their skills a secret from the outside world, lest they meet a mysterious crazy cult who love to dissect people with Unique skills to create the ultimate status stones that can even saw through other Unique skills.
Status stone — it's a stone for which people usually use to look at someone ability, name, race, gender, and age. But Villia Status Viewer can show more things, such as their affiliation, skill, title, loyalty, favorite things, state of mind, every information about the person, animal or things she wants to check, and of course…Talent.
It's easy for Villia to detect someone talent, for which, the best talent she ever saw is S-rank while the worst one is none.
Every person at least an A-rank talent, and while there's rarely an S-rank talent. Father Lichenmi's one of the people who have an S-Rank talent for Holy Magic, yet unfortunately, he has only got D-Rank talent for preaching which explains why he didn't get even one follower before he meets Villia.
Villia who has gone to many cities has seen a lot of people with S-rank talent. Weapon talent, diplomacy talent, racial talent, skill talent, artistic talent, commercial talent, farming talent and many more, but most people she meets didn't even realize what their talents is, like the beggar she has met before with S-rank Art talent.
Villia can also show and hide the information she needs, as showing all of it would make her get a mind-state of Information Overloads, and make her fall asleep not long after that.
Status Viewer divided into active and passive, both have advantage and disadvantage, but she can't activate both of it at the same times. The difference between them is where Villia needs to look at the target to activate the active skill which means no range restriction for it as long as she can see her target while using passive skill mean she will be able to get information about everything in five meter range around her, and it is also the skill she used to find stealth assassins five years ago.
Thinking about it again, she hates everything about this skill when she's a baby. Her skill always stays in a passive state, and it always gives full information about someone, even their relationship, family, etc, and almost make her almost gone crazy because of it. Fortunately, passive skill didn't let her detect death things, such as dust, bed, toys, or any of those things, because she's sure that she will die a day after she's born if that's the case.
Because she didn't have much knowledge about how to deactivate the skill or hide those useless informations when she's baby, she becomes able to learn everything to know about her parents, and also know how her parents support the second prince, who in the end got executed by the crown prince when he becomes a king and causes her family to fell into ruin. Both of his parents got executed for treason while she's sent to slavery at the tender age of four.
It's also because of this skill that she believes in the presence of God. Especially after she got Blessings of Lumina which let her look at bright or dark places like it's any normal day. It's a skill that appears on her status ever since she got promoted from beginner nun to intermediate nun. Of course, she can disable the blessings every time she wants, especially when it's time to sleep, as the blessings will make it too bright for her to sleep, and make it too dark for her to wake up.
Looking at her status again, Villia can't help but feel that she's fortunate having this skill. The skill she has once hate for causing her distress when she's a baby because she didn't know how to deactivate it has turned into an ability that supports her, and let her survive until now. And it's also thanks to this skill that let her know Father Lichenmi didn't have bad intention and followed him around.
This skill has also let her easily becomes an Expert Alchemist. Her Talent in alchemy is supposed to be B, yet she has become an expert in alchemy even before becoming an Expert Assassin, even though her talent in Assassination is A.
Of course, it's not because she didn't train her Assassination skill in these 4 years. In these 4 years, she will always go to adventure guild and get a job for gathering things, killing beast and assassination every time she and Father Lichenmi arrive in a town to earn money. She has trained and assassinates more people, yet! She hasn't become an Expert Assassin!
"It's still level 10…How many experiences needed for it to become Expert Assassination?"
Intermediate Assassination (Lvl.10) (19974/20000).
"I still need 26 experiences to promote it to Advanced Assassination." Villia sigh as she looks at the needed amount of experience for her assassination technique to level up. She only needs a little bit more, just a little bit more and she will become stronger than before!
The reason she's so fixated in becoming an Expert Assassin comes from the influence when she becomes an Expert Alchemist. The moment she promoted to Expert Alchemist, her insight and perception of alchemy change in an instant as it becomes much more broader than before and her comprehension toward the topic alchemy has also increased by leapt and bounds. Seeing that she only need a little bit more to become an Expert Assassin, Villia unconsciously decide to search for assassination request to become an Expert Assassin, while earning a bit more money to buy … slaves.
Her goal in buying slaves is so the slaves will feel indebted and mostly, loyal to her! Slaves are being that's already weakened, and any act of kindness to them is akin to blessings for them! She who has been a slave before know what it means to be a slave. Living in dark places eating rotten foods, while wishing to get a good master who will not abuse them. Tortured in the name of training, and got sent to death if there's no one willing to buy them.
Who will be more fitting to be her subject to spread the faith, if not a faithless slave that think their god has abandoned them!? Combined with her skill, she would also be able to look for those who can support her to fulfill her goals!
If father Lichenmi is here, he would disagree with her action as soon as she states it out. Buying slaves might not be wrong, yet buying slaves to spread the teaching of their Goddess would be unthinkable for him! It might be alright if she says she wants to buy them and then free them before she teaches them the Goddess teaching, but what's in Villia mind is entirely different than that!
"After all, I'm someone who's taught by Trelia Way, even if the brand is gone, cleared by Father Lichenmi. Some of their teachings will still stay on my heart; after all, I've been living in that places for eight years…"
Villia sigh once again as she looks at her clear white hand, without any picture of Trelia Snake, which occupies her hand. Although she didn't have loyalty to that organization, it's still an organization she has live in for 8 years of her life, forgetting it would be close to impossible.
"I'm sure Father Lichenmi would be able to understand my action."
With a mutter, Villia walks to the north-east direction, the direction that will lead her to Variesz City with the intention to buy a slave and earn some money while she's there.
The slaves she buys today may also become the pioneer of Lumina Church and become one of her trusted followers in this world. Imagining the scene make her grin, as she wonders what kind of slave she will get today. Preferably, she wants to get a female slave because it's more comfortable that way. But, she will also need some male slaves, because only having female slaves would make people misunderstand and think that it's woman only religion, like Maiden Goddess Nilvaryu, the Goddess of Purity who she secretly respects.
With that goal in mind, she continues her journey to Variesz City, one of the city under the rule of Calmarosh Theocracy — The religious nation who worship Human God Imalos, as the one true God.
