Akin was about to get rid of the bodies when something got his attention, even when they were fading away, the trio's souls didn't left their body. From his talks with Ashtarte he knew that where he come from death was the end, if you body died then you soul would 'die' with it and viceversa, but here things weren't like that. From Habib memories, and his last ten years of life, he knew that there was life after death, even if it wasn't a promising one.
But what caught his attention wasn't the fact of the souls remaining there after death but the thing attached to them. Everyone of them had it, he noticed it before but he couldn't be sure, now he was. While their souls were fading away, there was something that still remainded the same, it was a soul imprint, a ownnerless soul imprint.
The soul who left them behind should be quite powerful, as Akin felt somehow suffocating while looking at them with his Spiritual Sense. After another look, Akin thought of something, could this be the blessings which the trio talked about.
Akin knew, well he didn't knew, he was told by Ashtarte that gods as herself were just very powerful people. Even though he didn't believe her at the start, he was quite excited about becoming powerful and being able to control earths and skies, he was afterall just a teeneger. Not to mention the promise of the two being toguether forever.
After growing up, he felt like she being so powerful was something normal and that it was something normal human beings couldn't attain in their lifetime as he didn't gain a little of those powers after years of being by her side. Still he didn't give up, he wanted that eternity toguether.
After all those events who lead him into here, after gaining soul force, he was sure that humans could go above their limits, but could they become gods?. Now looking at the blessing from the 'gods' he was sure they could.
If he was to absorb those soul imprints then wouldn't it be equal to being 'blessed' by whoever was that 'god'? The only problem was he would need to absorb the trio souls as well, as the blessing were attached to the souls. And he couldn't take the risk to wait for one of those soul to fade away and see if the blessing was left behind.
But even if he had absorbed a lot of soul power before, it wasn't the same with souls. Every time you absorbed soul power you needed to refine it until it didn't had any impurities or it could lead to further problems as those Akin had from absorbing Habib's soul. Even though he was able to tell who he was, when he adquire all of Habib memories, he adquired all of his sentiments as well.
Memories could be a good things, if you were able to erase all the mundane affairs and just take in, the life experiences, as it would be added to your own but inhereting all of the sentiments from that soul as well could lead to a change in who you was.
After the soul where less than half of its initial size, Akin slowly put them out of the bodies where they were, he was using his soul power to envelop these soul and manipulate them. Once out of the bodies he turned them into bead size balls, and with a "swiss" the souls flew into his Soul Realm where he throw them each inside a star.
This was the refining method of the Heaven's Empire manual, as every star was made of soul fire, a fire which speciality was devouring soul power. As for these blessing he was no worried, the soul they came from was ways stronger than his, even wasting the eternity he wouldn't be able to burn them.
Getting his job done, Akin moved the bodies far from the campament, he could use the fire inside his Soul Realm to burn them down but it would be a waste of soul power. After coming to this place Akin found that it was more harder to use the elements around, excepting for the fire and darkness, than those in whereever was the place he was before. He could felt clearly how the air and darkness here where different from those in that place. And Akin was right, except for the air and fire, in that place no element was affected by spriritual particles as a needed countermeasure but how could Akin knew of that yet.
With the camp and all of trio belongings as his now, the first thing Akin do was eat, yes eat. Even if he didn't felt hungry, his body was crying loud for food. To his surprise, he was able to eat all the food the trio prepare for themselves and he still felt as if he could eat more. He took some meat out of one of the bags as he didn't felt any ominous feeling he roasted it and gulped it down. After feeling satisfied he found himself being a glutton, he amost finished all the meat the trio hunted.
After fnishing the meal, Akin took a spear between the trio belonging, all this was luck or destiny? He couldn't care, he started wielding the kind of weapon which was by his side in so many battles, the very first weapon he learned to use.
The spear movements were very slowly at first, but soon they reached the limit of what a human body allowed, and then kept that pace for a while. Drenched in sweat Akin was looking at the night sky, unlike where he was yesterday the stars in the sky didn't seem to dimish but meteor showers were constant. He could see stars traveling all across the sky night before disappearing, some traveling along , others traveling in huges groups.
"The little brother of mine would love this sight for sure" . Thought Akin before pausing for a bit. ."...she would liked it too". He added almost mumbling.
Then he started playing with the darkness, this time he wasn't using his soul but some sort of energy inside his body to manipulate the darkness around. He felt very close to the darkness and very comfortable, as a child in his mother embrance, as a dark fog was gathering in his left hand. The fog theN started traveling to his right hands and back, as he enjoyed playing with the fog.
The fog suddenly started expanding, and it felt like an extension from his body, but unlike his Spiritual Sense,he couldn't see the objects the fog touched but just fet them. Anyways it was marvelous, and it seemed as if the fog could went through anything. No,it wasn't the fog, was the darkness itself which could pierce through everything, he felt enlighten and as if he was about a great discovery.
"War, War, War....War" A voice with a grave tone suddenly started screaming in his mind while the sound of drums and trumpets followed the voice. " No matter what reason you fight for but fight on". Was the voice last message.
Akin found himself inside a battlefield, there were all kind of beings before him, somes less than half the human size, others almost reaching the clouds. The army in front of his own was entirely of humans but for the winged persons flying above. Both armies irradiated a killing aura as he never felt before.
Then his palm make a gesture,a loud growl was heard and the ground started trembling as both armies charge forward. It didn't take long before the ground was filled with blood and scattered pieces of body, and everybody seemed in a battle frenzy, unless dead they wouldn't stop.
As his army gained territory, six-winged persons descended from the sky, this time he was smiling, he could feel it. And aiming for the new arrivals he launched himself into battle...
Once out of his dreams, Akin mind was currently inside of his Soul Realm, the three stars where he launched each of the trio soul were now red in color, and they definetively burned fiercely than before.
To his surprise refining these three souls took him less time than the expected, seemed as the fire back then was more about torturing the souls than washing them away.
As Akin opened his eyes a blinding light greeted his sight, how bad was his luck as for a star being falling above his head. Taking a deep breath Akin did what was needed, he ran for his life.
