Chapter 3 - SIGMA: The Eighteenth Planet (1/2)

On the virtual reality massive multiplayer online roleplaying game SIGMA, Luna was the Goddess of creation who created everything on the first era. But unlike any Gods and Goddesses she chose to kept her physical self intact with the masterpiece she built.

On the game anyone can interact with Luna or even challenge her on a duel. As a being with godly like stats she was unbeatable not until a crimson haired lass with a fiery wand beside her reached a standoff with a one true God, it was a draw with the Goddess Luna!

It was still far from winning but reaching a draw with the strongest being was no ordinary feat. The mysterious player became an instant celebrity overnight. The player was even recognized as the strongest player among the rankings.

Some rumors about the Crimson Mage even says that those on the level of the lesser to high level God was not even her match.

In the game, players had a chance to be a God of their own league. With the help of enlightenment and the quest system. Performing different heroic acts and world saving feats one can be a lesser, mid, or higher God. On the lore of the game it states that one player can even reach Celestial God level to replace Luna on her spot. But it was far even on the dreams of the player.

"You died in a random death and the first thing you ask to a god who offers to reincarnate you would be the catch?" Luna chuckled gently and smiled.

After realizing her shameless question, Mirai blushed and bowed her head in silence. After reading tons of novel and playing different games, she knows that a God appearing on the mind of someone whose dead offering reincarnation has to be a catch. But asking it directly was a bit shameless on her part.

"Crimson Mage, am I right?" Luna asked with a grin on her face. She was known for being a beauty yet another personality of hers was to tease someone to her own liking.

Indeed, even an NPC has their own traits in the game. In some instances NPCs were mistaken as a legit player. That was one of the features of the game SIGMA to be a hit-off.

"Eh?" Mirai was startled the game provides full incognito for the players. She was a lone wolf on the game who strives for power and was able to reach it through hard work. But after thinking that it was Luna the Goddess and the system itself, she was relieved. It'll be more doubtful if Luna didn't know her.

"How come you're here? How come you're real?" Mirai continued to ask without denying or telling her identity.

Luna chuckled again "Does it matter? You are dead already! You're really an oddity above anyone." Her gentle face turned serious and continued "But that's why I chose you to help me."
