CHAPTER 24
Jeff stepped out of the land Tripler and hurried towards the entrance of the tall building, which was just ahead. Even though the heavy rain had turned to a drizzle, people still roamed about the streets. Different people of various sizes and shapes. The Snake mountain kept accepting people into its abode, but Jeff knew it as a matter of time before Grand Gareth realizes that the population was more than the resources, and then decides to close its door to people seeking solace. But that's if they live long enough to see it.
Jeff shook the rain off his jacket, stroking his hair to make sure they were not too wet. He turned the knob of the door and hurried inside, tracing his way through the familiar route. He had not been here for months, but the memory of every route and where they led was still evergreen in his memory.
