Chapter 103 - The Truth

"Just thinking about that moment... my blood boils in anger." Jehako looked at the ceiling of the jail before laughing, just remembering the expression on his former companions at the time made him so ecstasy.

...

"It has been decreed that Jehako Van Kiff and Katherine Mason have betrayed the Alliance of Races, is there anyone who opposes the verdict? "An old man with a wrinkled face and gray hair wearing a ceremonial robe and a golden scepter spoke to those present.

This old man was one of the Alliance leaders and the spokesman for mankind, Julius I of Sirius.

Around him there were all the other Alliance leaders and spokesmen of their races, sitting around a table they judged the crimes of betrayal by both Jehako and Kha.

No one said anything in their defense, they just watched the duo with cold eyes that seemed to say, "You should have followed the flow, you idiots."

Jehako sighed when he heard the verdict, there was nothing he could do to save himself, at first he thought about appealing the decision but after starting the judgment and seeing Razer sitting next to the other leaders made him feel that there was nothing he could do, he only regretted involving Kha in the whole thing.

"I'm sorry Kha, if it wasn't for my idiocy..." Jehako muttered as he saw that the young lady was indifferent except for a small crystalline glow at the edge of her eyes.

She shook her head and smiled back, her radiant hair had lost its shine and her eyes were almost extinguished but that smile comforted Jehako.

"Since no one opposes..."

Razer's words were interrupted by a young beast man.

"Wait! Are we really going to do this? "White Faust, the young Foxmen shouted.

"Sigh...I wanted to finish this nicely but it seems that the beasts are incapable of obeying their masters... "Razer muttered before jumping out of his seat and pointing at the group.

"Seize them!"

After his shout, the chamber gates opened and a powerful sealing formation activated against them.

"What the hell is going on?"

"This is not what you promised to us!"

"You're so funny, Razer, now stop all this!"

A group of guards strongly armed with the best magical treasures charged into the room and tied the group down.

"How do you dare to seize me,you human trash?!" Rufus shouted as two men pressed him against the floor and shackled him.

A blow hit his neck disorienting him before he was struck again by a metal object.

The group panicked at the sudden turn of events.

"You didn't expect that, did you?" Razer said as he stroked Helen's face.

The group looked with blazing eyes at Razer who seemed indifferent.

"Don't look at me like that, when I asked you for sacrifices I never said that I would only need two!" Razer began to laugh maniacally at the stupefied expressions of the group.

"Yes, that's the expression I wanted to see!"

"That's enough, we agreed to follow your plan with the condition of eliminating the remaining giants, don't forget it!"Julius I of Sirius spoke in a threatening tone.

" You are so boring, enjoy this unique moment in your life, I evolve my magical treasure to the highest level and you get rid of the giants at the expense of a bunch of idiots' souls..."

The plan of Razer and the alliance leaders was revealed.

The glow in Jehako's eyes intensified before he laughed maniacally.

"Hahaha!"Jehako's laughter flooded the chamber while the faces of his former companions were covered with coldness, shame or remorse.

"Let's start at once!"

A miniature golden palace came out of Razer's body and floated above the chamber, its golden glow blinded those who were present as fierce rays of light invaded the room.

"Ahhh!"The guards who were struck by the rays of light became golden statues and evaporated into nothingness!

Panic flooded the room as the leaders fled afraid of being touched by that mysterious force!

The group's bodies began to shake and tremble, their eyes turned backwards and a mysterious aura seemed to be torn from their cold bodies.

"Their souls are gone!" Jehako thought as he tried his best to avoid the light coming from the magical treasure.

A soft jingle allowed him to discover the keys's location, allowing him to get rid of his shackles!

"I cannot use the spatial energy due to the spiritual sealing formation but if I use my blood as a channel, I will be able to use it at least once!" Jehako was about to flee when he noticed that Kha was close to being touched by the light!

If that light touched her it would be the end!

"Kha!"Jehako remembered all the time he spent with her, even the short but passionate night they had the day they met, they had fought side by side since they were young and she decided to trust him when everyone was against him.

"I can't let her die here!"He ran and avoided the fierce rays of light that had taken the lives of almost everyone present.

Biting his finger and using his blood as a catalyzer, Jehako invoked over her a portal large enough to allow an adult to enter.
