For someone who's never done a day of work in my life, I sure am good at it! It's so easy! I don't know what all those unemployed people, back on Earth, were complaining about. See? All I needed to do was get thrown out of a building, and beg on my knees! It's not hard at all!
⌈ STATUS
Theodore Young
JOB: Villager (Maid)

⌈ SKILLS
• Blessed by Goddess LVL∞ • Item Box LVL2
• Smithing LVL1 • Woodwork LVL1
• Cooking LVL1 • Cleaning LVL2 ⏌
You know, this job that I literally landed on isn't so bad. Sure, at the start I had to use my bare hands to pick up some stuff, that would have to be pixelated if shown on a children's TV show, fortunately - maybe it took pity upon me when I threw up the first time - the system-thing in my head helped me out with something akin to a 'Newbie Tip'.
⌈ Villager (Maid) Theodore Young can use his [SKILL] Item Box to store inanimate objects ⏌
As you would expect, I raged about not being told earlier for a brief moment, but I'm thankful that I don't have to touch such filthy things anymore. I do feel sorry for my Item Box, though...
"Note to self: Be sure to wash the Item Box after dumping the trash."
See? I'm responsible.
It's only been half an hour, but I've managed to clean and tidy a full two rooms in that time. I even leveled up the two [Skills] that I've been using: Item Box and Cleaning!
I may have been a little regretful of being given my current skill-set, at the beginning...
⌈ REPLAYING MEMORY
That's it? Wait! What kind of skills are these?! Where's 'Sword Mastery' and 'Magic'?! ⏌
⌈ END OF REPLAY ⏌
ALRIGHT! So I wasn't happy at all about it! But now I am! Isn't that enough? Geez.
Who would've thought that you were such a fickle person, system?
⌈ ... ⏌
You're probably wondering about my Cleaning [Skill], right? It's actually quite the useful little ability! I'm kind of excited to tell you about it.
I wouldn't have thought that the act of cleaning, where you just pick up trash, sweep the floors and put things back where they should be, needed to be given its own set of [Skills], but this life-skill is damn convenient!
I may have made it sound like cleaning both rooms, in only 30 minutes by the way, was a breeze. Let me tell you: when that Yakuza woman showed me into the rooms, before the stench of feet and wet dog hit me, my eyes felt like they were going to melt away!
It's only thanks to having both the Item Box and Cleaning [Skills] that I'm even able to handle doing this job. Plus, if I didn't, I would lose one of the few [Skills] that I own.
The Cleaning [Skill] looks like something out of the classic 'Gizney' film, where 'Monkey Mouse' would use some kind of magic that made the brooms and the mops move on their own, and everything cleans itself up for you! I never watched the cartoon, but don't let the child-like art style of that movie fool you, it's scary as hell to watch a couple of brooms and mops moving around on their own. Some paranormal shit!
To begin with, when Cleaning was still LVL1, I was only able to use one broom - same with the mop - and I had to use another broom and mop to clean alongside the one being used by the [Skill]. I must say, we make a pretty good team.
When Item Box leveled up, a small message popped into my head to tell me that the space inside of it had expanded by a little bit. It feels like I'm in some cultivation novel!
"My name is Jong Jong!" I mocked, straightening the quilt on the bed. "My parents died when I was still a baby, and the current patriarch - who is my grandfather - raised me to my current age of 13."
I jumped over to the other side of the bed, trying to look like some martial arts practitioner.
"The inter-family tournament is quickly approaching," I continued, this time in a darker, deeper voice. "And I'm bound to be made a fool of by the younger generations."
Having tucked the quilt under the mattress, I straightened my back and pat my hands.
"My cultivation was crippled when I was young," I sat down at the side of the bed, pretending to look crestfallen. "My first uncle saw my potential, and became jealous that his son would never be the one to chosen to enter the Ching Jing sect, so he destroyed my dantian!"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
AHHHH!
It's the Yakuza woman!
"The rooms are looking pretty good, greenhorn," she said to me, her eyes sweeping across the room. "I didn't think you'd be able to do it, and I came up to laugh at you, but you're done already. Not bad."
"Hmph!" I puffed out my chest, even though I only did like 15% of the cleaning. "This much isn't even worth my time!"
"Great!" she said, clapping her hands and smiling sinisterly. "Then go clean the other rooms, too."
"Wait... That wasn't part of the deal..."
"It is, now!" she walked away humming.
THIS BITCH!!!

"Heyyy~" a flamboyant voice rang through my ears, sending shivers up and down my spine. "You did a pretty good job on those two rooms, young man. Chu."
"..." please don't.
"You've earned your stay for the week."
DING!

"Yes!"
I struck an anime victory pose, complete with my tongue sticking out, in my mind.
I finally finished my first [Quest] in this real-life Veronicle! I'm on my way to becoming the hero who will save the world by defeating the Demon King....'s bedroom.
WHAT THE HELL AM I MEANT TO DO WITH JUST THESE [SKILLS]?!
"You don't look too happy, young man~" the Bulk said, gently rubbing my shoulders. "Is something the matter?"
"..." yes. You. Please get away from me.
"You're free to choose any room you want to," he continued, not knowing of my internal dialogue. "My daughter's said that you can stay the whole week."
"Huh?" did I hear wrong? "Did you say the whole week? Wasn't it just one night?"
"Oh, my~" he said, making me shudder a little. "Didn't my daughter tell you that, if you were to help us clean the other rooms, she'd allow you to stay the entire week instead of just the one night?"
"No," I replied. "That thuggish woman only said that she changed the deal to being all the rooms instead of just the two. If not, then you wouldn't have come in to see me panting so heavily before!"
"Hoho~" he chuckled, covering his mouth with the back of his hand. "Don't let her hear you call her that, or she'll kill you~"
"..." can you please never do that in front of me again?...
"In any case, you've done your part of the deal. You're welcome to stay at our inn for the whole week. Good work, young man."
His sincerity, as he said those words, make me a little happy. For sure, those are words weren't said to me often back on Earth.
"Thank you."
