Chapter 28 - Cerin goes to school.

The university itself was technically seen as a high class one but it was also known as the school for the screw ups of the elite classes who needed the degree on their resumes but had no intentions to do the work.

To balance them out there were a few scholarship students who had gotten their way in through their outstanding grades and were only allowed in to raise the reputation of the school.

Then there was the final group of attendants in the school. The pitiful funded students. These students were those who essentially sold themselves to wealthy sponsors in order to receive a proper education. Quite a lot of these people were future idols or actors in training but there were also those few who were going to be secretaries and were the babysitters of those in the first class of students.

Cerin herself was considered as a part of that first class of students to the school administration but she knew that it wouldn't take long for herself to be exposed.

The money her uncle had provided her with was definitely sufficient to keep her in school all four years and her job at the gym was enough to keep her living a decent lifestyle however she would definitely not be able to blend in with those third generation rich children whose daily expenditures totaled in the thousands.

As Cerin waited in the Dean's office she couldn't help but be drawn towards the various artefacts that littered the room. In particular a large Athena statue in the center. her proud features were very clearly expressed by the sculptor and a large headdress completed the image of a beautiful goddess of wisdom and war.

The brushed bronze and polished silver sparkled around the room and completely entranced Cerin, while she was in such a deep daze she did not notice the door swing open and as such was startled by a deep voice that broke into her daze and snapped her out of it,

" I see you are interested in artefacts miss Cerin"

She spun around into a defensive pose, having her leg up to the man's neck before she identified the source of the voice, the Dean. Cerin quickly re-adjusted her pose into a demure half-bow and spoke in a soft voice,

" Sorry, I simply found them fascinating ."

The dean nervously laughed and wiped the thin layer of sweat as he remembered how close the young girl had been to kicking his head off his neck. Cerin herself did not notice it but the heavy steel and gold beads hanging off the headdress of the large stature were anxiously dangling around from the wind produced by that kick.

He invited her to take a seat before taking one of his own, a respect the old man would only give to the parents of the wealthy children at the school and immediately brought out her student folder, not daring to waste anytime.

" Sorry for the inconvenience, but we need you to confirm your attendance this upcoming semester as well as your classes. You can fill in all of your choices in this folder for the next year and hand it back."

It was only as the young girl sat perched on the chair, choosing her classes that the old man realized how truly attractive she was.

To call her beautiful enough to ruin a city would definitely be an exaggeration but the young girl could definitely stand her own in comparison to the majority. Her large innocent looking eyes contrasted with her naturally pouty lips and high cheekbones that had more of a cold and glamorous appeal. They all created an incongruity that proved to be very attractive.

However she possessed a confident air that only came from the top beauties of the world and wore her own features with pride. As well for such a young girl she possessed the sort of naturally oppressive air he only saw from the big shots of the school and even wondered if she was actually the only daughter of a large company that had decided to take a break from the high life and attend school. although there were no indication of so from her clothing, her admission had been handled rather mysteriously.

There was also the fact that he had never seen her brand of clothes before but they were definately made with upper class fabrics. For all he knew they could have been made by a personal tailor.

As a result of the headmaster's overthinking he resolved to treat the young girl well. While his motives were wrong, it was a decision he would definitely not regret in the future.

Cerin's classes had mostly been chosen anyways because she had declared her bachelors but she still had to choose the times and her electives.

If this had been in the past, Cerin would have definitely chosen her electives with care as she would have wanted to try out as many things as possible but as of now with all of the skills she had at her disposal she simply choose at random the first three things her eyes landed on and handed the folder back to the Dean.

He accepted it with a smile and looked over her choices which made him smile even brighter,

'Of course for such a woman of high standing what else would suit. '

Embroidery, Incense making, sculpting and fencing.

These choices that were only offered so the richer students could get their degrees while filling the needed elective credits. These classes were truly useless to anyone that was not going to live above the upper middle class, so Cerin's choices only served to solidify the constructed image of an elite in the headmasters mind.

Cerin, who had no clue of the man's thoughts left the campus with no other impression than the impressive sculpture on the office and made her way to the stores.

She intended to buy a sewing machine for quite a few reasons the first being that she really didn't think she could afford to outfit Ryella with brand new clothes for the entire semester and would probably have to 'recycle' a few of her old ones. and the second was that she intended to give Serana a hobby. Cerin had thought about putting her to work in her restaurant at the gym but was cautious about putting her around the group of burly men at the gym so she decided to put her to work at home.

The next was the flyer that had been delivered to her house the day before.

Cerin had been hesitant but after thinking it over, there really was no reason for her to put it off. so she had registered herself and was set to meet her three models in four days.

It was currently the first of July, so she only had around a month to solidify her designs and make them to fit the models. as well she had to put into consideration that these were ameture models and would not be able to pull off any complicated designs.

It was already 2 in the afternoon, so the people at the gym had probably already dined somewheres else so with nothing else to do she decided to go home.

Cerin took off into a run once again with a wonderful smile on her face that made others smile back at her.

'With this, my legacy begins.'
