-"Zibi. I got an idea." -Alex stood up.-"Cover me"- He rushed towards the center of the village.
Zibi did not have a lot of time to react because Alex started shooting every living being. Pigmans gathered around, they were enraged and focused on the big guy that was shouting and shooting at them. Now Zibi only needs to aim and pull a trigger at any monster that was too near Alex`s back.
Suddenly from behind, one warrior charged at Alex with a great sword. It was bigger and uglier than the rest of the pack. Zibi shoot him on the eye while Alex somehow felt the danger and while holding his Saiga with the left hand he shoved it`s barrel inside pig`s mouth and blew its head. The monster fell to its knees. Alex took it great sword and started to swing it with one hand. At this point, there was nothing that could threaten him, so Zibi focused on the monsters that tried to escape.
After ten minutes of slaughter, there was only the sound of dripping blood. In the field of corpses stood Alex with a crazy look on his face. He was sniffing around.
-"You still hungry?"-Zibi walked out from his spot. He had his rifle ready to shoot.
-"Yeah."- Alex dropped the sword and took out his knife. While walking towards the huts he checked if the knife was sharp enough. -"Meat is here."- Doors to the hut fell out thanks to his kick. -"And it is fresh."-Inside he found piglets. They were not much different that piglet, except they were brown, not pink. They were even squeaking and talking in a similar manner. -" There will be enough to make a grill."
-"Alex? Is that necessary?"
-"First, you should know by now that any being that tries to call itself an Orc is a bad guy. Second, they are pissing me off, unlawful use of the name "Orc". Third, I am hungry. Fourth if they grew up they will do many bad things."
-"Oy, do not jump out with a Goblin Slayer, okay?"-Zibi shot one body into the head because he wasn`t sure if it was dead.
-"Are you eating or not?"- Alex was holding one piglet by the nap.
-"Yes, I am."
-"Good."- With one fluid motion, Alex broke the piglet's neck and cut out its arteries so it could bleed out. He did that for every piglet in the hut and hung them on a pole, but since there was more than one hut they checked the whole village for additional food sources and loot. They found 10 more piglets which all ended on a grill. Except for ammunition and grenades in kitchen utensils, there was nothing of interest.
A few hours later after eating everything they could the duo burned the whole village so only ashes remained. This time they were walking through the labyrinth that looked liked cubes in offices. Sometimes it was completely dark, sometimes light bulbs were like small suns. The environment alone was extremely difficult and constant changes brightness made it terrible for their eyes, but the worst was that stupid sound when the bulbs went on and off. They were walking like that for a few minutes until Zibi stopped and patted Alex`s shoulder.
-"What`s up?"
-"I got an idea. Kneel and watch out for enemies. I will check the ceiling for cables and try to cut them off."-Zibi put the file on his back and picked up scissors that were on one of the many desks around.
-"Be careful there are many horror movies when the bad thing hid on the ceiling."
-"Tho not frett."- Zibi took out his Magnum 44. and stood on Alex's shoulders. He carefully undermined the ceiling plate and took it down. -"Alex tell me which monsters hid on the ceiling?"
-"You found something there?"-Alex looked up but couldn`t see anything.-"Rake, Licker, Xenomorph, The Thing, Rats, Cockroaches. There can be more but I do not remember. And based on the environment it will be probably Licker."
-"Joke there is nothing but cables."
-"Zibi? How do you know which cable you should cut to cut out power?"
-"I do not plan to cut the cables. I plan on moving with them to find their end and cut them there."
-"Ohh, I thought you wanted to cut them here."
Zibi jumped down and took aim.
-"I think I saw something moving on your six, it was fast. I will take the lead, cover me."
-"Gott ya."
They were moving together, they slowly walked with their backs glued to each other until they reached the control box. Zibi cut of the seal and pulled the lever. Darkness shrouded everything. When their eyes get used to darkness Zibi put down the scissors. "Clank". From between cubes hideous monster appeared. Alex smiled because it was the most pitiful monster of all time. It was that monster from "A Quiet Place". Alex reacted first and threw a flashbang at it. It exploded right before its head. When the grenade exploded monster was stunned and its head armor opened and Alex pumped it full of lead.
-"Do you have a plan to kill every horror movie monster?"- Zibi asked Alex in sign language.
-"In most cases? Yes, I have. I am only scared of the ones which I had trouble devising such plans."-Alex used sign language too.-"In the movie, they said that these monsters are using their hearing to see and that they are weak to ultra-high sound waves or something like that. Flashbang covers basically every sound wave not only these that are emitted by broken TV. So here we are."
-"And they were supposed to withstand a nuke? It looks like the author never learned about physics."
-"Hey, its a movie, it is supposed to be cool. Besides that inconsistency allow us to hunt them down like ducks."
-"The one to lose buys a 1l. Okay?"-Zibi prepared his grenades and rifle.
-"Okay, but not splitting up."-Alex reloaded his shotgun.
-"I do not see a reason why we should split up."-Zibi agreed.
-"Let's make a trap"- They said in unison.
The trap was easy to make. Alex picked up a PC and throw towards the place that they could easily see. He was throwing all these junk until the monster gathered there. One precise flashbang and 4 round later 4 corpses were lying on the ground. Zibi shoot them right into their ears while Alex just blew their heads up.
-"You think there is more of them?" - Alex poked one monster with a knife.
-"I don`t know, but I have an idea."- Zibi took out his knife and picked up one corpse with the whole head. He started to drill inside its`s head until he took its brain out. -" Interesting, their flesh is much softer than normal animal insides. Just like bugs."
-"What do you plan to do?"
-"Animals sometimes bath in the blood of their prey to masks their scent. I want to do the same."
So they did it, they smeared the blood on them and moved out. Unfortunately, they did not find more monster no matter how much noise they did. Soon after that, they found the exit from the office zone.
Labirynth changed again. Now they were inside multistore communist era mass housing building. It could have an N amount of floors and no elevator. And every floor had at least 3 to 4 flats.
-"Don`t you think that this is all to easy?"-Alex put down his gun.
-"What do you mean?"
-"I mean, we had to train shooting and etc., but all we do is just slaughtering monsters, and there is nothing that would look like that bomb that we have to defuse."
-"Well, there is a solution to that? We can just give up and wait until Mike ends the simulation."
-"I do not think it will work, for us it can be 100 years, for him it can 5 minutes."
-Or we can just go by your way of thinking and kaboom everything."-Zibi pointed at the nearest doors.
-"Zibi you are the wisest man I ever knew. Lets blew up everything!"- Alex now happily kicked the doors and checked the flat. Inside he found all the chemicals he needed to create a small bomb.-"Zibi, I got the ingredients but I do not think it will be enough."
-"Other options?"
-"I can make napalm so when we will try to leave we just drop it from height and set everything ablaze."
-"Good idea? You need some help?"
-"Nope just watch out for enemies. I do not want to set fire now?"
The slowed down significantly since they were checking every single flat for ingredients to make napalm. Sometimes they were lucky and found everything even the gas tanks for ovens. Other times they could found only crazy people who would charge at them with nothing but their bare hands. When they finished they would put everything on the stairs to make sure that everything burned. When they reached the top Alex strapped the bottle of napalm to the gas tank and dropped it down from the top. When it exploded they were already in the next part of the labyrinth. On purpose, Zibi left the doors open. His explanation was simple.-"There must be some kind of processor behind this simulation if we overload it will probably kick us out from it. Like in the game when you blew up too many things."-Alex only nodded and the moved out.
This time labyrinth changed into DOOM like scenery with flames and blood covering everything.
-"COOL!"- They said in unison.
