Spirit Stones were tiny thin crystal shards that grew in the heads of every monster in the world of Trinix.
The handful containing at least 100 of them were merely like a drop of sand in a huge desert compared to the amount Jasper still had remaining inside his spatial ring.
He had killed monsters of all varieties and strengths through his years of service to King Lanford.
The magnitude of his killings had reached such a high number, there is probably no one else in Trinix who will be able to catch up to him within this lifetime.
It's a shame the people did not know of his deeds.
Otherwise, he would have been more greatly revered by the populace.
After a monster kills another one, they usually absorb the shards into their bodies, allowing its essence to further strengthen their own shards, which in turn, boosts their own powers to a higher level.
Sometimes, depending on the monster source, a single shard can be the key to breaking past their bottlenecks.
Dragon gods are also considered part of the monster race despite being gods, and Ian, being the child of two very powerful dragon gods, was also one upon birth.
Jasper figured he would be able to absorb the shards and possibly strengthen up.
Even if it had no effect, it wouldn't hurt to try, especially since the amount was worth nothing to him.
Ian tried to focus his small fragmented soul, sluggishly sending out a small force in all directions.
There was no response from his surroundings, the soul force slowly dissipating away.
Ian gave an almost imperceptible nod and pouted slightly.
Jasper thought back to the earlier outbreak of evil miasma from his body.
He finally knew the reason for its leak.
The dragon child must have sent it out unconsciously.
Moving that thought to the back of his mind, he took out a dark blue mana potion from his spatial ring.
He popped off the cork of the small glass bottle, a sweet fragrance melting into the air.
He couldn't help but take a small sniff, nose slightly flaring, as he inched the potion towards his soft lips.
The rim of the glass was cold to the touch, causing him to shiver almost unnoticeably.
Throwing his head back, he downed the smooth liquid all at once.
His body started to heat up as the potion made its way down his esophagus.
Licking his lips slowly, he threw the empty bottle back into his spatial ring.
Jasper looks down at the black band around his finger.
He raised his hand wearing the spatial ring up.
Almost like one of my own!> He recalled that Ian was a dragon both evil and dimension. It was not surprising that he found semblance in the energy released by the spatial ring. Ian lowered his head, swinging his wings under his chin, as though he was a human being, pondering on his mother's question. Jasper had always been wary about having a spatial ring, especially after arriving on Earth. A physical item is never safe from the prying eyes of others, and he does not know enough about this world to be sure that he wouldn't get into any sort of trouble due to the items he have in his ring. If Ian was able to create a spatial dimension inside his mana pool, he can hide all of his otherworldly possessions in it, leaving the ring as a diversion.
