Author~Chan: So, I am a very inconsistent writer. Because of the past few months having health problems, schoolwork, and my boyfriend breaking up with me, I've been going through a rough patch. But thank you to those who still read my stories! Because of the good feedback from last chapter, I'll be writing a little bit more in this book. Thank you!

So, how would you feel if you see a pair of eyes staring at you in bed? Obviously, you would probably scream and call for help, right? Well, I grabbed the handgun on my bedside table and started shooting at him. After 5 shots, I slowly opened my eyes and saw no one there. The only thing was the smoke coming from the bullet holes. I groan and think of how much money that's gonna cost me. I hear a small meow and turn to look down. I smile when I realize it's just Lin. I pick him up and cuddle him.
"Hi little Lin. I must have scared you by shooting that strange, perverted man, huh? I mean, who just climbs into someone else's bed? At least he's gone." I sigh and go to squeeze Lin, but he jumps out of my arms and onto the floor. He stares up at me, before opening his jaws.
"Who are you calling a perverted man?" Lin asks. I stare in shock at the cat. Quickly, I slap myself, hard. I felt my palm and cheek tingle and I knew that a red handprint was starting to show up.
"Y-you just f*cking t-talked." I say in disbelief. The cat rolls its eyes.
"Yes, now you can stop self-harming yourself. You humans are so weird now." The cat says. I still stare at it in disbelief. A couple of seconds go by before I start laughing.
"Man, this is a crazy dream. First, I see someone in my bed. Next, my cat is talking to me! I need to get out more often." I say, holding my forehead in my hand. The cat jumps up and sits down in front of me.
"This is not a dream." The cat says. And in front of my eyes, I see something otherworldly. The cat is covered with white mist. The mist becomes the body of the cat, and the mist shifts to form the shape of a man around my age. The mist settles and dispersed, leaving a good-looking man on my bed.
I would have been entranced by it, but what struck me was those whiskey-gold eyes. My own eyes widen as I stare into those.
"Y-you're that person t-that was in my b-bed." I whisper in shock, pointing st the space next to me. The person nods.
"Correct. I am a Celestial Beast Shape Shifter. I've been alive since the dawn of time, and man, have you humans changed. I've even had to change what form I'm in because you humans can't seem to handle me in dragon form." He sighs and stretches. My mouth is still agape and he stares at me. I slap my face, again.
"I must be dreaming. I'm going crazy. I must be! Because there's no way the legends of Shape Shifters are real, right? They're only legends." I whisper to myself. The guy grabs my arm.
"This isn't a dream. I can hear what you say. I am a shape shifter." I stare at him as my brain adjusts to this new reality. Instantly, my head starts hurting and I feel my blood turn cold. He notices my face turning pale and he looks at me in worry.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asks, pressing his hand against my forehead. His touch felt so real. My brain instantly blacked out and the last thing I saw was those whiskey-gold eyes staring at me in worry.
