Taurask Don Finch was born in 3004 on the 4th day of the 4th month. Due to this reason, his parents had decided that he was blessed and gave him the same name as the hero of his continent, [Taurask]. Taurask was one of the [Twelve Heroes] who had saved [Earth] from complete annihilation 3004 years ago. After the war had ended, the 12 heroes who represented the different races on [Earth], split the earth into 12 continents. That fateful year is now known as [Year 0] or the [Restart Year]. The fourth continent named on Earth is known as Taurus, the land ruled by Humans who are meek yet at times surprising.
Taurask Don Finch was born in a small village in the outskirts of Vernia City. Laire Village made its living off of farm produce and some lucrative businesses that most of the villagers ignored. The village was beside a dangerous forest which pushed most cowardly people away from the village. In spite of this, Laire still had a humble population of two thousand people. Maybe it is due to the small size that all the farmers held a friendly and naive outlook on life. Many adventurers who decided to stay at Laire's only inn, called the village "A good place to basically get a free night out of the woods" or " A bunch of stupid bumpkins who will believe anything you say and are easy to cheat." Because of this, many local adventurers call Laire Village, Bumpkin village for the gullible.
Growing up in Bumpki- I mean Laire village, Taurask also became very kind, easy going and gullible. Although he had the same name as the brave and courageous hero of taurus, he was quite the opposite of his parents expectations. Growing up with two hot headed older siblings, Taurask became the middle man. With a sweet voice and a gentle smile, he was known to be the only one that could stop his brother and sister from wreaking havoc around the humble village. Not only did he seem too nice for the name Taurask, but was also quite scrawny. At 8 years old, although his height seemed above average for a boy his age, his fragile appearance, soft voice and sweet nature made him appear to be a fragile girl instead.
No matter how kind the village of Laire was, they could not have the heart to call such a boy Taurask. Even Taurask's parents were regretting giving him such a name. If they knew he was going to turn out like this, they would have just named him something else. The first to call him Don were his schoolmates who could not stand the thought of their hero and Don in the same room. Slowly, everyone started to call him Don and by the time he was 10 years old, he would not respond to people calling him Taurask as he himself found Don more fitting.
It was another day at school, the teacher Miss Spencer was teaching the students about the history of Earth.
"Before the dark ages, there spoke of a time where races where always at war with each other. Land, gold, Fay energy and reputation were forcefully stripped without a care. These were the barbaric times. Although most of the wars at the time were quite brutal, the bloodiest ones were the ones for Fay energy. Do any of you know what Fay energy is?"
Miss Spencer looked in front of her. Five rows of around thirty, fifteen year olds tried to avoid her gaze. Only one of them was sitting straight up, with his arm in the air and a sweet smile on his face. This student seemed a little shorter than the other students in his class. If you did not look closely, you might even mistake him for a girl. Although in comparison to those his actual age, he would be quite a few centimeters taller. As the only 12 year old surrounded by a bunch of 15 year old students, he was slightly shorter.
Miss Spencer could only sigh seeing that Don was the only one raising his hand.
"Don, do you have an answer to this question?" Don's eyes sparkled as he stood up from his seat.
" In fact, I do! Fay energy is a kind of resource that is found all over the atmosphere. They are element-less in the atmosphere and when absorbed, it allows your training speed to increase. The Fay energy that they were fighting for however was the elemental kind. There are six known elements earth, fire, water, air, light and dark. People can awaken these innate elements when they turn thirteen. For some reason, these elements can somehow create a supernatural reaction to the Fay energy in nature. This causes the Fay energy to form crystals packed with elements inside it. The less element coexisting in these crystals, the faster your training speed will be. But having the same element as the crystal is more beneficial. If a lightning user uses a Fay energy crystal of water, they will receive less results than a low grade crystal with all 6 elements coexisting inside." After talking till he was satisfied, Don sat down.
"Thank you Don for that thorough explanation," said Miss Spencer as she looked at her other students in disappointment. 'Shouldn't you be raising your hand instead of a kid 3 years your junior?'. Miss Spencer could only sigh and continue on with her lesson.
"This went on until the dark ages, when they were forced to band together to fight against a greater evil. One of the biggest concern the 12 heroes had was that after the war ended, the races would go back to their old ways. Luckily Aqaumarine, hero of the first continent developed a brilliant solution. They would create an organization whose duty is to righteously gather resources such as fay crystals and share them to those who have proven deserving of them. The crystals are then distributed according to ranks. The ranks go from G to SS and the higher your rank is, the more crystals you can get. This idea was then implemented in year twelve after much debate and was called, [Guild] and those deserving people are known as [Adventurers]"
Many of the student's eyes sparkled at the name. The adventurers that they would see coming and going from the dangerous forest a few miles away looked cool, strong and powerful. Since most of the kids in Laire village had not stepped outside of their little bubble, the stories the adventurers would tell excited, frightened and intrigued many of them. Although some the stories were a little far fetch and even sometimes a complete lie, the gullible Laire kids ate it up and wanted more. Just looking at the class, you could see many boys and girls clench their fists in determination that they would also become cool adventurers in the future. Standing in the front of the class, Don eyes also sparkled at the thought of becoming an adventurer yet unlike the others, his eyes seemed to hold more then just mindless desires. As his mind wondered, he tightened his chest and for a split second, his sweet face held a sort of barbaric light to it only to turn back to normal again.
