Emersyn landed on the coarse ground before the congregated wizards. They were already stretching their arms and their mouths casting a joint spell. The air above them shook and a huge circle appeared and a gigantic paw emerged. It squeezed through the circle and left the world beyond and entered this realm with a deafening roar. Emersyn covered her ears with a frown.
The wizards collapsed coldy to the ground and the ones who remained still had a few mana in their bodies. When they saw how Emersyn frowned while looking at the monster they summoned after scouring the other worlds for strong Primordial monsters. After spending centuries of research and hard work, they finally reached this monster that voluntarily entered through a contract. However, they didn't summon it yet because of the enormous expenditure of mana. They stored and stored for decades and now that the opportunity struck itself, though they really didn't plan this at all, they finally used it. The news of a woman ravaging in the battlefield and was, apparently, on the losing side, they didn't pay her any mind and just proceeded to what they already planned. That was their mistake. They didn't know that someone in a caliber of women was enough to annihilate their forces under the joint forces of five empires in the Superior Humans' Alliance.
"What? Scared now?" One of the surviving wizards heaved a mock.
Emersyn shrugged. With her lack of response, the wizard fumed.
"Aldebaran! Kill her!"
"ROOOOOOAAAAAAAR!"
Aldebaran kicked off, and its figure disappeared from their eyes then reappeared behind Emersyn. Dust obstructed their views as the wizards opened their eyes to capture the death of that vile woman. The earth shook greatly a few moments later and cracks reached their feet. They lost their balance when the earth crumbled. With that attack, the dust cleared up and they could see the monster struggling to put its strength over the woman who stopped its attack with an arm. She slapped its paw and with her other hand, unsheathed her katana. Mana immediately wrapped itself on the surface of the sword and it greatly surprised those that witnessed it.
"What…?"
"Im-impossible…."
It was the sword aura that most swordsmen dreamed of after years and years of training just to activate it for at least 30 seconds. Yet… this woman… this woman that held their hatred... activated it under one second. It felt incredibly unfair. When her sword struck down, the collision of the monster's hide and her sword created sparks. Emersyn pushed through with her strength and successfully wounded the monster. She took her distance as she watched the monster panic while its wound healed instantaneously.
"Grrrr."
Emersyn flicked her sword and the bright red blood of the monster flung to the crumbled ground. She took out a soft cloth to wipe the surface of her sword even though she knew that it wouldn't rust. The monster took this opportunity and attacked her with its sharp claws. Emersyn stretched out her hand and also produced lightning that was clearly stronger and thicker than the monster's. She released it at the same time before its attack connected through. The monster convulsed and shook its head.
"Sleep," Emersyn commanded before producing another lightning.
The monster's eyes widened and it immediately swung its tail. It rolled over with its belly revealed, and it looked at Emersyn with warm eyes and its slitted eyes relaxed.
"..."
"..."
"Al-Aldebaran, stop this instance!" One of the wizards commanded with fury. "You agreed to kill those that we commanded!"
It growled at the man and pressured him with his mana. He immediately fell over, heaving. Emersyn looked at the monster with one of her brows lifted. The monster whined and shrank its figure despite its enormous size. Emersyn was left confused when the Primordial monster suddenly cuddled her.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
The monster whined then its ears folded as it lowered its head.
"Don't act like that in front of me. Do you think cutesy will work on me? I am only weak to the cuteness of my son!"
Suddenly, the huge monster turned into a small cub in a puff of smoke. Emersyn's eye twitched at its attempt to woo her.
"Meow," and showed its doe eyes. When it didn't see any repulsion from Emersyn, it cuddled her calf.
"..."
The wizard trembled as he immediately ran for his life. A spike suddenly pierced through his thigh as he screamed in pain. He tumbled down, his face stained in tears.
"I am still not done with you," Emersyn said as she flicked her hand once more and a spike condensed and pierced through his other thigh.
The spike was thrown so fast that the wizard didn't notice, and screamed in pain once again when he felt it on his other thigh. He heaved as he tried to regulate his breathing to decrease the pain. His eyes swam and stopped to look at the meek Primordial monster on Emersyn's hand. He gritted his teeth once it dawned upon him that the monster betrayed them when they sacrificed their lives to summon it here. They sacrificed so much that they had to cry tears of blood. He didn't care that it was a powerful monster from another world, he cursed at it through gritted teeth. The monster's eyes looked at him and he suddenly felt a stronger pressure emanating from it.
Emersyn noticed how the now tiny monster was intimidating the man who laid with his face on the ground. She approached the man as she put the tiny monster on her shoulder and crouched down.
"It's a bother. So, are there more of you?"
"..." the man pursed his lips.
"Haa… I guess you all are useless."
"You imbecile…!"
Emersyn shrugged then stood up. She sighed in exasperation. Whenever she tried using her energy to snuff out enemies from far away, it got tedious the farther her opponents went. She had to filter out unnecessary noises and feel the mana of everyone who would be a threat to her allies. She even had to go there herself to check whether her assumptions were the truth or not.
"Hey, Aldebaran," Emersyn called as she pierced through the writhing man's head.
"Mraw?"
"I have work for you."
The tiny cub jumped from its position and nodded enthusiastically.
"Kill all those that are in a contract with you and leave no one alive."
Aldebaran jumped away from Emersyn and turned into an enormous monster. Its deep vocal chords responded in kind to her order and disappeared from her sight. From that moment, Elodiaren appeared beside her.
"It's His Majesty's creation."
"His Majesty?"
"The Primordial Emperor, and the father of your Body of Origin."
"Hmmm. Interesting," Emersyn mumbled as she looked over the worlds that she could enter, and there was a new finding. However, the cost of transfer was expensive. It was impossible with the mana and regenerative ability of the Light goddess this device absorbed. Was it finally time to seek out stronger Light goddesses?
"Aren, do you know why it's hard to enter through my father's world?"
"Because it's one of the forbidden worlds. Even those that were born outside of the Dimensional Prison of our world find it very hard to visit our Lord. Beyond that, there are two ways to leave. It's either you ask for a special permission and pass every test they give you or create a device that could connect through worlds with the cost of the Light attribute. The latter have the highest risk, but if you successfully made it out without any traces left behind, then that's a victory for you."
"Your world seems harsh to live in."
"Indeed. I can't deny that. Ever since the Primordial Emperor got caught and imprisoned, we have been under constant surveillance. Now, since I left my world without any permissions, I will be on the hunt just like you. The Blanche is really a hard organization to deal with."
"Then, how come they still haven't caught on us after that little spat with a giant?"
"Ah… the giant. Those are the goons or servants of the higher ups. I have to say, they are stronger than their masters. They are just binded with a contract with their lives. They won't prioritize my disappearance over yours, and the reason it came here was to get me. However… if they still haven't sent more… then maybe it wasn't me but a sliver of your power coming out of your body. When it disappears, and the devs consider it a false alarm, then you and your world are safe."
"That's a relief to hear. By the way, where are the others?"
"They already came back to Lasirion. It seemed like there was a problem that arose there."
"..." Emersyn went silent from the revelation of Elodiaren. "What…? More problems?"
"It seems so, my Lady."
"Let's hurry back, Aren."
"Understood."
When Emersyn opened up a portal and they went through it, they saw that the ChangHao firm was being raided with soldiers. Glasses shattered and furniture were being destroyed. The adventurers that were there on scene were arrested for interrogation. Emersyn looked at them with calm eyes as her assumptions were proven true.
It was an attack against her and her people, and an attack against the Crown.
