Chapter 114 - Rise (5)

Suddenly, there was another gigantic hand that was made of light that appeared and covered the face of the gigantic creature's face. It put force into its palm and tried to crush the face of its opponent. The particles of light that were scattered began gathering at one point, and the furious face of the woman became more prominent.

"You dare!"

However, the gigantic creature only crushed the hand that was covering its face.

"I am not here to deal with you," it said without opening its mouth. "I am here to deal with one creature that invaded this world."

The woman laughed derisively.

"Didn't I invade this world too? It is only right that I fight you."

Its gigantic eyes gazed at the woman and snorted.

"You have the energy of this world. You came here, didn't you? I won't fight you as long as you remain still."

"Hah! You crushed me when I was still half-conscious!"

"I just crushed an annoying bug, that's all."

"You do love crushing bugs, huh?!" The woman yelled, then fired off spell after spell against the creature. When she saw that it didn't even pay attention, she became more furious. However, she suddenly stopped in her tracks, her anger subsided just like that.

There was a woman, sitting cross-legged in the air with her chin resting on her hand. There was a cocoon of fire that protected whatever was behind her.

The gigantic creature was calm as its eyes settled on the woman that was giving off more pressure than the woman of light earlier. Its lips curled up and emitted a more powerful pressure against the mysterious woman. No, she wasn't really mysterious. After all, she was its target. The one that it was ordered to kill at all cost. Once the higher ups detected a space travel through one person from that accursed planet, and also detected an abnormality that shouldn't be there, they immediately sent it down to where it was.

Despite the increasing pressure of mana concentrated on that woman, she didn't budge or even move.

Emersyn sighed then concentrated all the mana of the world into one spot and made a blade out of it. Yes, she thought of just crushing the creature into smithereens, but the desire to earn money from this guy's materials was incredibly strong. She just had to avoid further damaging the skin, organs and bones. This was, after all, a once in a lifetime opportunity to use the best of her ability. However, it seemed like the creature felt the greatest danger it ever felt. It immediately condensed its energy and delivered kicks and punches at where Emersyn was. Unfortunately, for him, it never even grazed Emersyn. Her body was stronger than it looked despite being the size of a human.

When its physical attacks didn't work, it resorted to using its life energy. Life energy was what made its power multiply at the cost of its life. It was its last resort. The fight didn't even last long, and it felt that being here was already futile attempt of assassination. Its muscles bulged, and rained more kicks and punches that the whole world shook and deep cracks appeared from the force.

Meanwhile, as Emersyn parried all its attacks, she was condensing her energy into her body and it made her heart race. Her Oceanic Life Energy shook as it began seeping into her heart and the heart fortified her energy. The single blade that she made was formed with different metals. It trembled as it began emitting an ominous energy from all the elements combined from her body. It was impossible to combine all the elements in common sense, but Emersyn did anyway. She succeeded in her first try using her newly fortified Dark Energy when she received the strange crystal from that ball of darkness.

Then, with the energy left in her, she used it to increase the gravity by a thousand fold on the gigantic creature as it slowed down its attacks.

The creature gritted its teeth and put more force into its muscles.

Emersyn didn't miss this chance as she immediately brandished her blade on its neck.

The next thing it knew, its head already separated from its body. It could see its body collapsing on the heap of shattered ice. It suddenly disappeared somewhere, and the only thing left was the destruction of the surrounding.

Emersyn descended before the woman who was made of light. The woman trembled from fear as she couldn't find any means of escape. However, Emersyn ignored the woman and checked on the human that was covered in ice. He was the Elder that she met back in Tamel. The heat of his body was already gone, and he was just a corpse. There was a circle of blood that froze on the surface of the ice. It was glowing as she turned towards the woman.

"You," Emersyn called.

"... I have just been summoned here. I have no fault!"

"Do you think I don't know? I am not assaulting you, am I?"

"That… is true…."

"Rest at ease, whoever you are."

"... my name is Suwen."

"Emersyn."

Suwen was baffled. She had always been worshiped for being the goddess of light, and this was the very first time someone casually mentioned their name. It was a mystery. Everything about this woman before her was mysterious. She couldn't see the depth of her power, and she was grateful that Emersyn wasn't her enemy, since she killed the creature who destroyed her. She even introduced herself!

However, it was just a fool's thoughts.

Emersyn was looking at her bracelet as it produced light. She didn't have full mastery of the Light element, but it seemed like… it was recharging. She approached Suwen and touched her shoulder, and it surprised Suwen. She was supposed to be made with light particles, but Emersyn just touched her like she had a solid body.

"Wha-what?"

"Recharge my bracelet."

"Pardon?"

"I need a thousand year's worth of Light energy, or you can just teach me how to properly use the Light energy. What do you say?"

"I…."

"Hmmm… never mind. Just come along with me."

"Eh?"

"Come with me."

"I don't think… we should be together."

"Is it because I have Dark energy?"

"Well… yeah, part of the reason. First, you have complete control over the Dark energy, yet I could just control a portion of the Light energy. I need permission of the Light before I could get complete control over the Light energy. Meanwhile, you don't need permission. Second, I am the goddess of Light, and you are technically an entity directly above mine or maybe even greater. Though… you rule over the Dark energy. Third, you are an abomination. Everyone, including the higher entities, do not have the ability to control all the elements existing in the universe; much less combine them into a solution. I can't fight you or even kill you since you have the highest authority here. The least thing I could do is to warn you, and please… please do not mention my name once. I don't want to die yet."

Emersyn raised her hands in surrender.

"I understand, then I'm sorry."

Suddenly, the area around Suwen shrank and the goddess was trapped in it. Emersyn grabbed the ball of light and leveled it to her eyes.

"What are you doing?!"

"I know about you."

"... what?"

"Let me rephrase that. I've heard about you."

"..."

"From Carnash, that is. You were quite notorious when it comes to dealing monsters and beasts. I am repulsed and disappointed."

"What-what are you going to do to me?"

Emersyn wrapped layers after layers of barriers around the ball of light until she could no longer hear Suwen. Furthermore, Suwen would be able to hear whatever she would say.

"Let's see. You were worshiped as the benevolent goddess of light, but you treated monsters and beasts like trash. Someone like you won't be able to rule any longer in this world. After all, I will reform this world. You are not needed here any longer. However, I need you. To be precise, your Light energy. What am I going to use it for? To freaking recharge the teleportation function in my bracelet. This little shit is just out of Light energy, and I just found out now. Don't worry, it'll just be an extraction, though I don't know what will happen next."

The ball of light shook as a response. The little figure of a woman was enraged as she repeatedly hit her fist on the barrier.

"Futile attempt."

Emersyn held the ball of light nearer to her bracelet. Light energy poured into the bracelet as it shook in delight. Soon, Suwen's Light energy was sucked dry. Then, the ball of light was consumed into the bracelet. She closed her palm that previously held the ball of light and turned around to, once again, gather the precocious concentration of mana. It lit into black fire and the whole world's ice was slowly melting. She gathered gallons of gallons of water in the atmosphere. When the ice was completely melted, she let go of the water surrounding the planet and it started to slowly seep into soft earth. The planet soon returned to its own orbit after Emersyn controlled the magnetic field of Locruna, directing it towards its rightful place.

She turned towards the elevation where the dome of fire was situated, and released it.

People that gathered away from the dome were already waiting for her to cancel her energy. They collectively gasped at the sight before them. Around the central part of the Demonic realm, the only thing they could see was vast amount of water.
