*Kata-Kata*
*SQUEAL!*
"Squeal all you want, I am still taking that ass... pause."
In a remote forest, there was a boy who looked to be about 11 years old chasing after a 2-meter tall boar. His short black hair was slightly spiked upward in the back and fell down the sides of his face. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt that hugged his waist slightly and with black pants that had a peculiar tail sticking out the back.
As he chased down the boar barefoot, it ran under a fallen tree to which he casually flipped over with an amused smile on his slightly chubby face.
"C'mon Piggy let's end this already so I can get back to mom before it gets too late."
'I remember last time I was late coming home. *shudder* Never again.' As I finally managed to catch up to the boar, I quickly dashed to its right and delivered a quick blow to its head ending the pig's life. Making sure I didn't damage the head so that it could later be used for whatever mom uses them for; I started making my way home after lifting it up over my head with my left hand.
Releasing a sigh I think about the short time I've spent in this new world or to be precise the first memory here.
The first thing I remember seeing when I 'woke up' were mesmerizing deep blue eyes that gave off the feeling of love, care and for some reason slight killing intent. looking at the woman that was holding me I felt a deep connection with her. She looked as if she had just gone through a lot based on her disheveled appearance. Her shoulder-length red hair was in a mess as strands of it we plastered to her forehead from sweat and her chest was heaving up and down.
As I was still observing this giant woman she began to speak.
"Look at my little boy! You gave your mother a lot of trouble for the past nine months you know."
Hearing her I realize why I felt a strange connection to her, she is my mom. I tried to call out to her but all that came out was a whole lotta gibberish aka that baby talk. Seeing me trying to talk to her she smiled. She brought her finger towards me and poked my nose. She giggled and said:
"Yes yes, I'm your mom, my sweet little baby. You are so adorable"
Surprised about the fact that she seemed to understand what I said I suddenly felt a wave of drowsiness hit me. As my eyes started to slowly close I heard my mother humming a familiar lullaby.

Walking through the forest while lifting the boar up and down with my left arm for a quick workout, I was able to see the wooden cabin I've been calling my home since I came to this world finally come into view.
"Mom I'm back!"
"Ok honey. You can bring your catch outback I'll dismantle it later."
After Throwing the boar into the yard I made my way inside. There I saw my mother sitting down with her legs crossed while crimson orbs of energy surrounded her. When she noticed me walking in she stopped what she was doing and got up to give me a hug.
"So how come your coming back so late when the only thing you brought back was a measly boar hmm?"
Feeling cold sweet come down my back seeing her squint her eyes I hurriedly answered: "Well before catching the boar I ran into this area with huge trees that had glowing vines that stretched from one branch to another and all the bushes and plants had these particles coming off them —"
"Oh my, you and your love for fascinating scenery."
Before I continued my monologue mom decided to stop me, after letting me go and heading back to the kitchen.
"You know I don't want you staying out too late, it is dangerous after dark."
"Yea I know. You've told me how many times now?"
"I wouldn't have to keep reminding you if you would only listen." She seemed to say that to herself with irritation.
Seeing her look like that I couldn't help feeling slightly guilty.
It is not my fault honestly it's just that this world is so interesting with all the different things and scenery you see. One of the things I always wanted to do in my last life was to travel around the world because I loved the relaxing feeling that comes when chilling in places like Plitvice Lakes National Park, Cliffs of Moher, Iguazu Falls. So seeing places l like that so close to home I can't help but wander off. Especially when everything has a magical ass glow.
'Since 'God' requested nothing from me, then I'll spend my time relaxing and traveling this world that has even more magical locations than my last. But to do that, I will need strength to be able to go to places that have high amounts of magic since mom said magical beast love places like that.'
While I was imagining myself fighting magical beast mom started to talk while preparing ingredients for dinner.
"So are you ready for your awakening tomorrow? It will finally be your 10th birthday tomorrow so you will be able to unlock your magic attunement and bloodline. Oh, I can't believe its already been 10 years. I still remember my first time holding your small little body."
She said all of this while using fire magic to light the pile of wood to roast the boar that suddenly appeared in the kitchen.
"I've been ready since the womb!"
*BAM*
"Agh mom why?!" I rubbed my forehead after getting hit by a piece of wood she threw at me.
"Hmmph I'm not sure what you are talking about."
Her red hair seemed to flare up slightly like flames. 'This child doesn't even know the troubles he had brought me, talking about he has been ready since the womb.'
"It feels like I'm raising a teen instead of a 9-year-old child." She said to herself exhaling and then giving me a smile.
"Soon to be 10-year-old child—"
*SMACK*
*****
Leaving the meat to cook she decided to give me a quick recap on what's going to happen during my awakening tomorrow.
"Since I have such an unreliable child let me remind you that tomorrow will be a turning point for your life. You have always been curious about the magic I use and I told you I would explain when the time comes. So first things first magic or what some old-timers call qi."
She says the last part as she waves her hand causing a fire to surround her. Clapping my hands I couldn't help but smile. it never gets old seeing her use magic.
"Mana/qi is something that is found in every living thing in the world. When one uses their mana to perform an act is what we call magic. When you go through your awakening tomorrow you will be opening what is referred to as your inner eye which is used to sense mana."
"Mom if I remember right before you said something about affinities and bloodlines right?"
"I was just getting to that Love." She says with a hint of impatience, so I quickly zip my lips.
"With magic, it comes with various elements and every person has an affinity to a certain element. Without an affinity to an element, it will be virtually impossible to improve in it past a certain point. I would say that most people either have no affinity or a low affinity to the various elements. Having no affinity doesn't mean you can't become powerful though. It's just that your path would be different from others."
Thinking for a moment she continued: "There for main elements which are fire, water, earth, and wind. There is also light and dark which are more secondary."
"So mom I can assume that you have fire element right? Also, can you have more than one element?"
I asked her after she got up to check on the meat. Seeing that it was done she cut up an extra-large piece off for me.
After giving me the plate she pinched my cheeks.
"Look at you asking good questions. Maybe you actually are smart enough to be my child."
"Come on answer the question." Looking at the perfectly seasoned boar steak I started digging in.
"Ok ok." smiling watching me eat with vigor she continued: "Like you guessed I have a fire affinity. Other than that I have a wind and light affinity. I'll let you know that your mother is quite talented. Having two affinities is not very common, but having three is extremely rare. There is also the fact that how easily one can use an element is determined by one's talent. Talent is rated as low, mid, high and peak. For me, my talent for fire and wind are high and mid for light. Having a peak talent in anything is even rarer than having three elemental affinities."
Seeing me almost finish she stopped to get me another big slice of meat and some water so I don't choke and continued.
"Next are bloodlines. With bloodlines, not everyone has one. Only people from prominent families and scarce few individuals outside of them have a bloodline. Even then awakening your bloodline is all up to chance. If you haven't guessed already you yourself have a bloodline. It comes from your father's side and those with it always grow a tail."
Taking a drink I stop to think for a sec. 'Hearing her mentioning my bloodline coming from my father has got me interested since I know that I have the Ancient Saiyan Bloodline. So does that mean there are other Saiyans? Or are they a whole different thing here?'
"Mom, can you tell me a little bit about that?"
"Hmmph don't ask me about that bastard. You don't even need to acknowledge him."
She said that with a vein popping out her forehead. As if the person, she is talking about was actually here. It makes me wonder what my dad did to make my mom so angry. 'Also didn't you bring him up first?'
"Do you have any other questions?" Seeing that she is still somewhat angry I shake my head and decide to ask later.
We continued having our meal and talking about various other things. After becoming a Saiyan my appetite has increased by so much. I thought the show was just exaggerated but I learned early on it was not. My mom still complains about how hard it was for her to feed me as a baby. To which I just ignore.
After washing the plates together and studying about various herbs and different survival tidbits under my mom's gaze I head to my room for the night. I stopped sharing rooms with her at two because I didn't feel like sharing a bed with my mother. The house we live in isn't too big. About the size of a small cottage. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room.
As I laid down I couldn't help but feel excited for tomorrow. 'Even now as a child I am already as strong as adults in my past life so imagine if I add magic to the equation.'
Thinking about being able to fire off magical projectiles I started to hop around the room fighting imaginary foes. After realizing what I was doing I stopped and went back to bed.
"Sometimes I wonder if I really am starting to become a kid."
