Chapter 6 - (6) Isn't It Ironic, That I Have To Be Involved With The Law?

(Btw, I'm writing this at school, so, rip)

Akari heard a knock at her door. She went down, slowly opening the door. There stood a man dressed in a smart looking suit with files and clipboard in his hand.

"Are you Akari Hijata?" The man asks. Akari shook his hand slowly and looked at him with suspicion.

"I am Shin Kaila. This house is still signed under your mother's name, and your mother never left a will. In turn, you can not be living in this house until you're eighteen. I'm terribly sorry, but, the law clearly says here that children under 18 may not live in the house that is signed under their parent's name until they are eighteen (I don't know if this is true or not. I'm too lazy to search it up.)." Akari blinks and stares at the man with a murderous look.

"How long do I have to move out?" The man shivers at her murderous look but continues to speak.

"I will give you 24 hours to move. I'm very sorry, but the law is law." The man leaves, and Akari possessed a cold glint in her eyes, and her fist shook as she punched the wall, leaving a hole. Akari stared at the hole and then looked at her fist.

"When did I get stronger And should I fix the hole?" Akari thought about it before shrugging. "Not my problem anymore." Akari "calmly" put her stuff away, meaning throwing her stuff in boxes and suitcases and then closing them shut. She called Itsuki to get him to pick her up.

"Itsuki, come to my house."

"Oh, are you ready for me already?" Akari sighed and growled through the phone.

"If you aren't at my house in 10 minutes, you can trust that no woman, man, or beast will ever want to look at your face again. Because trust me when I say this, but I will make you look just as bad as (1) Yomotso-shikome!" On the other side of the call, Itsuki paled at Akari's threat. He hurriedly agreed and jumped in his car, speeding toward her house. He got to her house in 5 minutes with her outside. Akari stuffs all 4 boxes and 2 suitcases in the back seat and storage before getting into the passenger seat. Itsuki looks at all the boxes and looks at her confused.

"Are those dead body parts?" Akari rolls her eyes and takes out her mother's dagger, polishing it with a cloth.

"That's all my stuff. I was kicked out of my house. Now drive to Red Winter's base. I'll explain while you're driving." Itsuki puts the car in drive and cruises along the road.

"So, why did you get kicked out?" Itsuki asks. Akari sighs and leans her head back.

"Apparently, when the house is still under your parent's name, there's no will, and you're not eighteen, you aren't illegible to live in the house until you turn eighteen. That's f*cked up." Itsuki raises his eyebrow.

"Damn. That's rough." Akari just sighs and closes her eyes, thinking.

~10 minutes later~

BANG! BANG! BANG! Kaito was shooting his gun at the targets as he took out his anger on them. He had already heard what happened, as well as Aiko and Daiki. Aiko, out of anger, hacked into that law firm and took some interesting stuff found, including the boss having sex with one of his employees and her underage daughter. Also, the boss and manager slipping a couple thousand yen from the government. Daiki, out of frustration, had lit a marijuana joint in front of Akari, making Akari chase him around with a flamethrower. Itsuki tried- keyword 'tried', to get Akari into a better mood by trying to "exercise" with her. At the end of the day, Akari took out a photo of her mom in her bedroom at the base. She chuckled as she looked at her mother's face.

"Mother, isn't it ironic that I have to be involved with the law?" Akari grew cold as she put down the photo and turned off the lights, going to sleep.

(1)Yomotso-shikome is an ugly hag sent by the dead Izanami to pursue her husband Izanagi, for shaming her by breaking promise not to see her in her decayed form in the Underworld. As the name Yomotso-shikome, the story may be reffering to 8 ugly hags, not just one. (Wikipedia)
