"Oh, so you're just gonna leave me after all these years? All because I have breast cancer?" Hirmashi asked her once faithful and loyal partner. They weren't married, but they did have an affair after one drunk night.
"I don't have a choice! I can't take care of you here or else my school and my own reputation are at risk!"
"HOW DARE YOU! I HAVE A CHILD THAT IS TOO YOUNG TO DO ANYTHING AND I CAN'T WORK AFTER I GET SURGERY! MY FAMILY TURNED AWAY FROM ME WHEN THEY FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AND I ONLY HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PROVIDE ME AND THE CHILD THE BARE NECESSITIES! I need you here, to help me."
"I'm sorry sweetheart, but, I can't support you anymore. I have a school to think of."
"I should have listened to my relatives when they told me you would only get everything from me, and I would be left with nothing." The man looked dejected but went downstairs to see his daughter looking at the stairs from the floor she was sitting on. He went over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Even if he wasn't there for many years of her life, he still loved her. But, he didn't know that the child understood as much as a fifth grader.
"Daddy, why are you leaving mommy?" She asked, her eyes staring into his soul. He shivered slightly before looking at her.
"Mommy is very sick and I need to take care of work. Daddy still loves mommy and-"
"If you still love mommy, why are you leaving her?"
"... Well..."
"Daddy, if you love someone, it pains your heart to see them suffer. You stay by their side and do everything you can to ease their pain. You support them down to your last dollar. If you really loved mommy, you wouldn't leave us when mommy need you most."
"Sweetie, daddy has work to do and he can't help mommy."
"If you truly did love mommy, you wouldn't hesitate to give her money for surgery. You don't love mommy, but mommy loved you. She would never stop staring at the poem you gave her. But after you found out she has cancer and turned away from her, she burned it up. If mommy doesn't love you, then I don't love you."
"Sweetie, daddy loves you very much and-" SMACK!
Akari had thrown a slap at his face, all her strength put into it. A red mark slowly started to form where she had smacked him.
"Leave. And never show your face here again."
"You do not hit someone who is older than you you little brat!" He grabbed her wrist and was about to smack her when he felt something shatter over his head. He looked behind him and saw the mother glaring at him with a fire in her eyes.
"Touch my daughter, and you will regret everything that ever happened to you." She smacked the back of his head and he stood up and pointed at her.
"Take our secret affair to the grave. You'll be going there anyway, b*tch." She gasped beforehand shoving him out of the house and slamming the door. He huffed and hurried down to the taxi that he hailed. He glared with loathing at the house of his now ex-partner before entering the taxi and fuming at his daughter.
'My own daughter smacked me. That little brat will never amount to anything. Shell end up like her mother, 6ft underground.' He thought, leaughing evilly as he imagined Akari begging and doing kowtows to him, begging for forgiveness.
