''I'm sorry that I can't fulfil your wishes. Although I did live happily till the very end, so I hope that you can accept that in exchange... Hahah... I know it is a bad bargain but that is the most I can do."
I waddled silently towards Rin and glanced at her face curiously. Rin's face was smiling so brightly that it seems that she was glowing under the moonlight.
"Father, this gigantic bird here is surprisingly the child of uncle and auntie, duke and marma. As to how he became as so is unknown to me but due to this transformations I could meet Father."
Rin recounted today's fun filled day in town to her Father but as the moon rose, her face grew whiter and voice grew softer.
"I have lived life all these years by Father's side so I was always happy. Vengeance crossed my mind after knowing you won't be back but life was too short for something so useless... I wouldn't blame you for my illness for that would be silly... As you know I don't have much time left too. I want to repeat what you written in that 'do not blame yourself as this decision is mine and mine alone so just blame me as I would still do it if you gave me a second chance.' I would want to be by your side even in the next life even if it is as short as this one so don't blame yourself for my end. "
Flowers are beautiful but are not eternal. Rin weakly sat beside Sir Tunstall, staring at me as she closed her eyes before smiling as she whispered her last wishes.
"Grin, cremate me with Father so we can soar in the wind and go back to nature. Please live life fully in our steads and find your own happiness. Find those who will love you as we did and do protect them... The world is moving so do we, let's soar together in this lonely world, dearest Peregrine."
Cool nights breeze brushed across my feathers and Rin's black hair but as if it took her away, Rin hands and eyelids went limp. I stared blankly before gathering myself again.
Cutting down the the leaves above them with wind magic, a blanket of leaves covered my family as they slept under a tree. After finding proper stones I sparked a fire, lighting up the leaves. orange lights spread under the moonlit night.
I held up my wings together in a prayer position as I gave my final wishes. My back cold from the cold harsh reality of the night's breeze while my front was heated by the final visages of warmth from my family. Standing there till the last ember flickered. As the morning light spread across the green sea, black specks soared into the air as if black stars in blue skies.
I spread my wings and never looked back.
*SCREECH!!!* (I will miss you Rin! Goodbye my dearest friend and family, Passerine Wyvernheart!)
