The cold calm in Oli's gaze permeated the giant beetle's pain-fueled panic.
"Hmm… I wonder what happens when I do this."
A torrent of sickly mist radiated from Oli's hands, seeping into the creature's head via its prized mandibles. And all the beetle could do was hiss and cry. No matter how badly it wanted to escape that imminent agony, it failed to free itself from Oli's unyielding grip.
Of course, Oli utilized that battle to experiment to the fullest. It was the least Oli could do after finally finding a foe he could kill without batting an eye.
Three long seconds passed till Oli stopped the flow of death essence.
The beetle went from spastic to flagrant. But that hissing fit wouldn't change the beetle's fate. Its death was sealed the moment the beetle failed to rip its rock-hard mandibles away from those human hands.
