"That's enough out of you," Oli stated, shutting the downed captain up with a tendil over his mouth and a construct hammer to his abdomen. "Utter a single syllable, and your crotch comes next. Understood?"

The foolish captain grumbled and answered as best he could, keeping silent as the tendril over his mouth faded out of existence.
Oli's attention swiftly returned to the peculiar man with his head bowed.
"So, answer my other question, now that I know you're not completely stupid. Why make this decision here and now of all places, and to an enemy of all people?"
"Because you're less of an enemy than my own captain and king."
