"Quiet, both of you…" Oli ordered, shutting them up with a hushed reminder. "If you're lucky, you'll get to face off in the second round. Till then, you're not rivals, you're teammates."
"Got it, Captain, sir…" Yeter dejectedly drooped his head.
Kako, however, put his hands together with a faint prayer, "Dear Dominus, please let me show this pony how to fight next round…"
"Yeter, no more talking," Oli hurriedly stated, not allowing the stallion to reply to the blatant provocation. "And that goes for you too, Kako.
"The next time you break the order, I'll shut you up myself."
Neither Yeter nor Kako dared to utter one syllable more after sensing the stern coldness of that last line. Thus, their trio jogged on through the eerily dark cavern, with even their footsteps barely audible.
Yet, to their surprise, their enthusiastic pace came to a complete halt not even ten minutes later.
