Since I came back to Western Paradise from the mortal world, I finally have my peaceful life back.
I imagine. That troublesome monkey meets that tiny temper monk and he cannot beat or accuse the monk. If he leaves the monk, he will not be enlightened. If he doesn't leave, he will have to put up with the monk. That Golden Cicada never changes his personality no matter how many times he reincarnates. He talks gently to people and if he thinks he is right, he will not step back. Just look at that he has been eaten nine times by that yokai in flowing-sand river and he is going to be eaten for the tenth times.
That troublesome monkey is going to race against the Golden Cicada on who is more stubborn? Can he win? He will have to put up with the monk.
Once I come up with the result that that Sun Wukong who made havoc in Heaven is going to be subdued entirely by a human, I am very excited.
No matter what the end of this thing will be, as long as that troublesome monkey doesn't have a good end, I will feel relieved.
In fact, as an all-knowing bodhisattva, I must know the future, but this cheating ability is too powerful that I cannot live well. After I turned on this ability for a few times and knew how many rice grains that my disciple ate in a meal, things were too boring. As a result, I have blocked this all-knowing ability.
Especially after that Sun monkey became my responsibility, I don't dare to look at the future. I don't want to see him causing trouble to scare me again.
Since we came back to Western Paradise, my disciple is like he has turned on some sort of switch and never talks. Everytime I ask him where he went in the afternoon, he will stare at me with a look of "Don't you know everything?" and walks away silently.
I think, Huian has a misunderstanding of me that he knows I have this cheating ability that I must have it on all the time, but this is embarrassing because I don't turn on this ability daily. Yet, he thinks I will know it no matter what he does and what he thinks so he just doesn't communicate with me anymore, but in fact...
I don't know.
I ask him where he went because I respect his privacy. I am not going to watch what he is doing but he doesn't understand my pains.
Today, Tathagata asks me: 'Why is your disciple missing again? Did you take him to let him walk around in Western Paradise?'
I have no other words but: 'He has grown up. He has his own stuff to do.'
Tathagata says: 'You as his shifu should take care of him. He is your disciple. It is not good to give too much freedom to the younger generation. It makes our Western Paradise seem to have no rules.'
*Sigh*. What does Tathagata know? My disciple is different from his. Huian is not picked by me from those beings of potential. He is a prince of the Heavenly King Li. Even if he had a low IQ, or he is a stone, or he is a log, or he has a hole in his brain, I cannot drive him away because all are caused by Tathagata. This is a diplomatic problem.
Sometimes I feel that Huian is not sent here to be my disciple, but to make peace between Heaven and Western Paradise by marriage. His dad let him marry me. I cannot beat him or verbally accuse him. I cannot do anything but let him grow up freely. When he has his temper, I have to pacify him. Being a shifu of his is so cramped.
As we are talking about him, he comes back. Recently, Huian has a trait that once he comes back, he will give me a looking of "you have known all" as if I know everything, but I do not.
Tathagata says: 'You guys are in good relationship. You can even communicate with eye contact?'
I say to myself that eye contact is one-directional from him to me.
Tathagata says: 'I know you have your own difficulties. That Muzha is the second prince of the Heavenly King Li. He sent his son here because he is afraid that his son will not behave well in Heaven and will be harmed. Sometimes, you cannot manage him but you cannot let him go. It is awkward in between. Let me teach him for you once.'
Then he calls Huian to come here and asks: 'Why are you so impolite to elders? Your shifu has spoiled you too much and you have become such a person who doesn't know politeness. Who taught you to use eye contact only to communicate when you see your shifu?'
Huian says: 'My shifu knows me. He knows everything.'
Tathagata has been with me longer than Huian and he knows what I think in my mind even if I just stand here like a log. He speaks for me: 'Your shifu knows but I don't know. Why don't you tell me?'
Huian says: 'It is not a big deal. My shifu already knows it. That Sun Wukong killed six cateran on the way and argued against that Xuan Zang. He tumbled his Jing Dou Cloud and left Xuan Zang alone in the wild!'
...
...
What!?
It is just a few days that I didn't look at them and a big accident just happened? Never mind he killed, but he killed six and dropped the Tang monk in the wild?!
And I am informed about this by my disciple in front of my boss?
Sun Wukong, you are the one should be knifed thousands of times. You are full of promise.
Huian is proud and says: 'It is okay. My shifu knows the past and the future. He has known it.'
...
No, I didn't know it. I don't want to know it.
Tathagata looks at me. I look at Huian. Huian looks at Tathagata. I look at Tathagata.
Yet, Tathagata is looking at me still.
At last, Tathagata smiles at me: 'Go.'
I sadly stand up and straighten my dress.
This troublesome monkey is no longer a troublemaker.
He is my biological son, my biological ancestor, my opponent in my previous life, and my benefactor who helped me in my previous life. I doubt if I owed him several lives that I have to take care of him now. From now on, I am not only a dad and a mom for him, I also have to clear up the mess he has done.
If he becomes a buddha in the future, he shall not call that monk his shifu. He shall call me his daddy.
