The country of Syu was located on the north coast of the continent.
In an inner city called Kide, there was a family of four, the parents and two kids. One was a boy and the other was a little girl. The father used to work all day, so he couldn't be with his family very often. The mother was a little peculiar, she tried her best to stay away from society, locking herself in the house.
The boy was fifteen years old and the girl was one year younger. Both of them would fight very often, and the mother would separate them.
"You should not fight, okay?" The mother loved her children, but she got used to their daily fights.
When the boy made his sixteenth birthday, he fell ill. This illness was incurable, no one could save him anymore. His father spent all their savings trying to cure his son, but there was no way out.
Even though they fought with each other every day, he was still her brother, she didn't feel good at all.
On his last day, he couldn't move, speak, nor see anything, he could just hear. The feeling of listening to his mother and sister crying, and his father trying to console them was terrible. The worst thing in the world for the son was being able to listen to their silent cry beside him.
Before he died, he made a wish. The wish was, "When I die, can you make them happy? Even though I'll die, I don't want them to be sorry, sad or depressed. My little sister is... she stressed me a lot, but she is not a bad person. My mother is the best person in this world, I don't want her praying for me. My father is the person I admire the most, he is hardworking, a good person and a good father. I just want to leave this world silently. Can you make this happen?"
The wish was not directed for a specific god, saint, or angel. It was just his last wish, this was his last desire.
The boy was not a hero, nor a villain, he didn't do anything bad, nor anything good in his life.
But, someone was moved by his last wish and decided to try something. He could be a devil or a god, it didn't matter, 'He' tried his best.
He couldn't make any change in the real world, only in the soul realm. So, he searched for a suitable soul to make things easier. He found a human in the world called Earth, Yuma Kai.
Coincidentally, Kai died at the very same moment that the boy died. He just made a change, he pulled Kai's soul and changed with the boy's soul.
Now, Kai's soul was within the boy's body, and the boy's soul was into Kai's body, pretty simple.
The first time Kai awakened, he found himself in a dark and humid place. He was lying inside something, "Is this a... coffin?!"
Struggling to get out, he pushed with his full power until he could see the light.
Lots of dirt fell upon his face, some even entered his mouth, making him cough a few times.
"What's going on? Reincarnation?" Touching every part of his body, he realized that he wasn't in his original body anymore.
It was around eleven in the morning when he finally got out. Around him were a lot of beautiful trees, with a lot of other people's graves.
Turning around, Kai saw his 'own' grave which said, 'Here lies Kai Jura, a beloved son, and brother. 203.09.12 - 220.07.22'
"Kai? Is this where my parents buried me? No, wait, it says Kai Jura, this is not me."
A lot of things passed through Kai's head, but he decided to not think about it anymore.
"What I should do is try to find this body's family, then I can get at least a place to sleep."
Roaming through the cemetery, he found a lot of graves, it was normal.
After a few minutes walking, he saw a man cleaning a grave, he should be the grave keeper.
"Hey!"
The man looked at Kai and widened his eyes. "You... why are you so dirty?" The first thing that came to his mind was Kai's dirty clothes. "Are you a zombie? They are not very common these days, haha." The grave keeper joked.
But Kai's reaction was different, "How...did you know?"
Not understanding, the grave keeper said, "It was a joke. What are you doing here, this place is currently abandoned, you know?"
"This cemetery? For how long?" Kai was doubtful, it has not been a long time since he was buried.
"Didn't you see the sign? Look." The grave keeper pointed.
Looking over the place, Kai found a sign which said, 'This cemetery has reached its max capacity.'
"Ah, there's no more space to bury the dead, I see." Making an 'I understand' expression, Kai asked another thing, "So, how long has it been since it was closed? It should not have been that long, right, mister grave keeper?"
"Haha, don't misjudge me, I'm not the grave keeper, I'm here to clean my wife's grave, that's it. And, hmm, it has been five years, I think?"
"Five years? It's not possible, I..." Thinking fast, he made up a story, "I was here to see my friend's funeral some time ago, not long ago."
Pondering, the man said, "It should not be possible, look at the graves, they all have moss around them. Some people still come here, so there are some clean graves."
Kai paused for a second and then said, "But I was here... last week. I saw my friend being buried."
Frowning, the man said, "There's something wrong here. You're saying that you were here, so why are you asking me if this place was closed or not? Or, are you a zombie? Haha. Your friend's funeral must have been illegal, or you're just dreaming."
