Nothing seemed to work though. The other Formation Alicia mentioned, had to be activated in specific way. I gave up after a while, and shook my head. "I have no clue. Why don't you just tell me?". She replied in a roundabout way, "There are all sorts of weapons in the world, right? When you think about a weapon with great range, what comes to your mind?". 'Bow', I thought, and tried activating the Formation.
"Tsss", "Ziit", "Click, Click, Click", "Swoosh!". The dagger in my hand transformed into a bow. A full size bow… from a dagger. "What is this?", I asked out loud, unable to hide the shock. "This is the bow form of your new weapon. Quite neat, isn't it?", she replied. A bow... It was made from the hidden blades, as well as a string that was hidden inside the handle. I didn't know what string it was, but it couldn't be anything rubbish from what I saw so far.
The design seemed intricate, as well as weird. Of the nine hidden blades, only seven were used to make the upper and lower limbs of the bow, while the handle acted as a grip. The eighth and ninth blades were attached to the upper limb, but horizontally not vertically. The colour of the bow was also the same, silver with bluish tint. "How did you manage that?", I asked. "With Formations of course. You already know about the hidden blades, but you didn't know about the use of these small holes. That is their purpose. The blades are riveted in place with the use of those holes, and make up a bow. I only made the assembly possible, while the master blacksmith created all these elements", Alicia replied.
I retrieved an arrow in order to try the bow, but Alicia stopped me. "There is no need for arrows, you can simply use your Aura". I looked at her stunned, "Are you telling me, this bow can shoot Aural Arrows?". She nodded, "Just like you could control the daggers with your Aura, this bow shoots out Aural Arrows as you called them. Moreover, it will help you form these arrows and add Elemental energy into them. Which Aura you use, should not matter". I nodded excitedly, ready to test that out. Alicia stopped me again. "Are you an idiot? If you shoot this here, someone is bound to get injured. You can play with this, after you leave". I agreed, but couldn't wait to test it out. An arrow created from my Aura and infused with Elements… It wasn't something I heard of before.
I tried changing the bow back to the dagger, and realised how simple it was. 'This is quite simple. Think of the form, and activate the Formation. I like this weapon, I like it a lot', I thought. With the weapon changed back to the dagger form, I said "Thank you, this weapon is really great. I couldn't even dream up such a design. I should go now, I need to find out what's going on at the Obsidian Mountains". Alicia stopped me again, "Did I say that was the end?".
I was completely dumbfounded. "Come on, you are pulling my leg... right? This weapon is already great, how can there be more?". She grinned, "Oh, but there is. This weapon has three forms in total. The dagger, the bow and another form. The dagger was designed to go with your Art, therefore it is more of a mid range weapon, rather than close range one. A bow is a long range weapon, as you know. Therefore, by the power of deduction, a close range weapon is missing".
I asked, "A sword?" while trying to activate the Formation. Nothing happened though. "Swords are overrated and overused, we made something more special for you. Given who you are, the last form should suit you". I was still clueless, even after trying a few other options. No matter what I thought of, it simply didn't work. No axes, maces or staves appeared. "I told you, this is quite a unique weapon. Do you know what scythe is?".
I knew what scythe was, but I never saw anyone use it as a weapon. "A scythe? Isn't that like a tool, rather than a weapon?", I asked. She smiled, "Depends in whose hands. A farmer might see it as a tool, a warrior as a weapon". I decided to give it a try, and this time it worked. "Tssssk", "Click, Click, Click", "Pak, Pak, Pak", "Ziiit!", "Pat!". The dagger transformed into a scythe, but it didn't look like anything a farmer would use.
Four of the hidden blades made up the blade of the scythe. The hidden blades were connected so well, I could barely spot four different blades hanging on together. The other five blades, together with the main blade and handle, made up the pole part of the scythe. The pole or handle of the scythe, was made out of blades obviously. That meant I couldn't really grab any part of the pole, or so I thought. "This weapon belongs to you, and will not harm the owner. You can touch these blades, but others will get sliced by them. Before you ask, this is the power of Formations and bloodline weapons", Alicia said.
"Before anything else, what can this scythe do?". She smiled, "If you are asking about any special Formations, then there are none. It might be a bit disappointing to you, but this scythe is like a normal weapon. Although many times sharper. There are no special Formations, simply because I couldn't fit anymore. It's still a very powerful weapon. If used well, it can wreak havoc". I nodded before swinging the scythe a few times, of course minding where I swung. Silver air blades left the scythe destroying the nearby wall.
"Stop breaking things!", Alicia exclaimed. I stopped, and asked about the string that was attached to all the blades. "What about the string? Does it hold the weapon in place or something?". She tapped her head, "Oh right, I forgot about that. Although there are no special Formations available for this form, this weapon can target a few enemies at once. Once you leave, you can test it out however you want". I nodded while replying, "I will need to get used to this weapon. Handling it feels weird, but familiar for some reason".
She smiled, "You will get used to it. That is all, no more surprises. You may go now, make sure Bramans are stopped. We can't let Hydra escape". Before I left, I had something else to say. "You should help out too. Grey Lizards are great with Formations, and your help might be vital against Bramans. I'm not forcing any of you, but think about it. With your help, we would have a much easier time for sure". She didn't reply, and I left it at that. I had a war to stop, and kick some Braman asses. 'Time to end this', I thought while activating the Formations to leave their base.
