'Hmmm, still no word from Corey's Master…' Corey's father, Veran, sat at a meeting with his best friend as he took a phone call.
"Sorry, Veran! This is important! It's about Thrasher!" His best friend said this and sighed waiting for the girl to stop crying.
On the phone, Corey's father could hardly make out the conversation,
"He-He's a devil! Thrasher is a devil!"
"Calm down… calm down!"
"No, I will not calm down," The girl said, "I-I…I want a raise, or else I quit!"
Aaron, the man on the phone with her, nodded his head and gestured with worry. "Of course! As much money as you want, just get us what he looks like!"
"…I want double the pay, Mr. Aaron, and I want my brother to get a job!"
"Deal," He would do just about anything for that information, and right now this conversation had to be short even with this extremely lucky situation.
A day ago, one of his reporters, Snow Fall, had happened to join a team when Purple Monarch approached her. She didn't talk the entire time, and just did what he said. Now, surprisingly she was part of the soloists, and she was in disbelief, pain, and angst.
"Well, okay, but I just fell form a suspension bridge! Money for that too?"
"Double your normal pay… However, a very important man is here, Silvia. Please do whatever he asks! However, I'm really sorry you fell from a bridge…" He imagined that would really hurt, and she began sighing trying her hardest not to recall it. The fall was from roughly 2000 feet in the air, and she spawned back in town before she hit the ground. However, it was the scariest moment of her life.
"It didn't actually hurt, but I was so afraid."
"You're okay, Silvia… Just get him to take you to the workshop, and we'll have him hooked and under contract…"
"Alright, I'll try boss…" Snow Fall got off the phone as Veran looked somewhat bored, and peeved. When his best friend, Aaron, walked over towards him, he couldn't help but wonder when Corey was going to answer his calls. He turned towards Aaron and talked with a somber tone,
"My son, Corey, I think I was too hard on him," He put down his cell phone. "I wanted him to take over the company, and never be taken advantage of. However, he must think I'm worse than a two horned devil with wings and a satanic disposition…"
"You're a great dad…" Aaron replied, "However, is he not talking to you again?"
"Yup, autoreply… He's in the middle of a game."
"Hmmm, sounds fun!"
Veran shrugged his shoulders. "He could be conquering the world with the training I gave him, but he's playing a game, and now he even has his master addicted to games…"
"Well, that's what we're here to talk about today, right?"
Veran nodded his head before smiling. "Ha, yup… Who am I kidding, Corey will do well at whatever he does. He has my tenacity, and focus…"
His friend nodded his head. "Yup, he also has your stubbornness… So, getting back to topic, is AMC media going to enter <
All media companies wanted to get into virtual games to start broadcasting the news. There was now a rising surge of gaming celebrities, and Thrasher was at the top of the list.
"Ugh, all this stuff about games! I'm definitely going to join in though."
Aaron smiled and then held out his hand. "I guess that means we're finally partners!" The two of them had known each other since grade school, and always wanted to be the top entertainers in Torokan City. In a twist of fate, they decided to partner on AMC media. However, this was their first team project, and Veran was only doing this so he didn't have to play a game.
"Thank you, Veran! Now, what about Corey?"
"Hmmm, my son? Let's just say I didn't get this rich apologizing… I'll just go beat him up..."
He cracked his knuckles and took off his tie. "However, where is he anyway…"
"I'll have him found by the end of the day… Dead or alive?" Aaron joked.
Veran nodded his head. "Yup, alive and found. I'll be the one to beat him up…"
….
Thrasher walked into the seventh mine.
"Hmmm, this is amazingly disgusting. I like it!" He sent out five [wind blades] and activated [defensive blade] as a series of undead monsters surrounded him. His other guild members were doing the same thing.
The goal of this limited quest was to make it to the end of the tunnel, and they were all trying.
"Yup, brother, you would like it after what master put you throuhg," Pell said over team chat. In the game, they were able to talk over this communication network, and it sort of sounded they were right next to each other. The game was highly realistic, and this was actually kind of a normal feature.
The rest of the game had cooler features, but when faced against undead zombies it was best not to think about this stuff.
"Well, please don't talk about that now, Pinnacle Lilly!" Thrasher was attacked by the undead zombies as they used [venom slash], and normal attacks. There claws turned green, and they attacked in weird patterns.
"Why… because you don't want Dream Knight and Monarch to hear?"
"Hmmm, it sounds like you're doing that thing again, Lilly. Alright, I will cook you two large steaks tonight if you stop talking…" Thrasher really hoped Dream Knight wouldn't be curious because he wasn't too proud of his past.
Him and Dream Knight had been in the guild, the Soloists, together, for roughly 5 years. Not only that, even in games you could make bonds, and he liked pretending he was normal and not put through torment. Basically, his training was so intense some might consider it torture. However, he knew it was a type of love, but talking about it shouldn't be encouraged.
"I want to hear, captain!" Dream Knight said as she used the super effective [halo rain] and [light slash] against the undead.
They were dropping like flies around her, and she was about to reach level 33. However, Thrasher all of a sudden starting making sounds.
"Bzzzz Bzzzz… I'm losing ser- service! Can—Cannot talk!"
A second later, he muted his voice and smiled towards his swords.
'Yes, babies, they will not make us tell them today…'
He giggled before a very angry voice appeared in his ear.
"Uhm, we could tell that was you faking, Captain… However, I guess that means you can tell us, Pell?"
Pell giggled with a sinister voice that echoed like a scary monster through the mine she was in.
"Hmmm, well, let me start with…"
