The thing inside the old base was a small creature.
When the Soloists walked in, it immediately pounced.
"Aww, it really is so cute brother!" Pinnacle Lilly picked up a small red leopard.
"Yup, however… it's being so nice to you Pinnacle Lilly,"
"Ha! He's just like I remember him, guild head!" Purple Monarch pet Red Phantom's head as did Dreams Knight. The new recruits, on the other hand, were somewhat shocked.
"Ah, I know… It's not a bad mascot." Thrasher was then greeted by Red Phantom who began ferociously licking his head. It used to do this in the original <
"Well, that's so great… I guess that means no one will be robbing us…" The new recruits named Starlight Ocean said. She was one of the two females in the batch of five.
"Yes, if someone tries to rob us, this monster will tear them to shreds," Thrasher replied.
"Ah… so, I guess that means you must have a storage space here too?"
"Yup, however, there are really bad items," Thrasher said.
"Ah… the legendary Soloists having bad items… I see… You must have sold them all." She sighed before Purple Monarch joined the conversation.
"Nope, boss is a complete hoarder! We have never sold anything!"
"Hmmm, well, I'll try and earn my stay!" Starlight Ocean smiled and nervously walked over with them to the table and sat down.
After a few minutes of talking at the table, they began discussing what to do next. In the game, there was rare limited quests to be completed, and they were a few of them in Royal Capital City.
"So, do you guys remember reading about the Endless Mine on the Forums?" Thrasher said to his group.
"Uhm, you mean the limited quests! Oh yeah, I forgot about those Captain!" Dream Knight smiled as she tried to envision the information.
"Yup, we should probably do those,"
"Hmmm, well, captain… it's going to be hard without the dialog box options… Do we have to flatter the NPCs still?" In order to get the quest for the mine, you had to talk to the mayor.
Thrasher, who was always good at figuring out dialog chains nodded his head. "Yup… however, it can't be that much harder, right?"
"Just call everyone pretty!" Pinnacle Lilly pet the tiger above her head as she said this, "Everyone likes to be called pretty…"
"Alright… well, I guess that means we know what we're doing then…"
….
About twenty minutes later, by the Mayor's Building, 4 pm.
Star Harriot walked outside with the Mayor before Thrasher ran up to them sweating.
"Urgent news!" Thrasher said, "There is trouble in the mines!"
"Oh no!" The mayor said nervously, "How did you know about that!"
Thrasher giggled recalling the quest dialog box in his mind. However, he was reverse engineering it. This was one of the things about Thrasher, he did weird things, and thought in weird ways. If it was anyone else, perhaps they wouldn't have thought of this scheme.
"It's because I was attacked!" Thrasher actually hadn't been attacked but the mayor looked appalled.
"Oh no! Well, I was looking for an adventurer to accept a quest to save the mines… However, since you were already hurt in the mines, you wouldn't want this quest would you?"
Thrasher coughed a few times before he got up. "Uhm, well, I wouldn't turn down revenge? Would you?"
The quest was originally called
"Ah! You're a man who's so much like me!" The mayor offered up his hand and helped up Thrasher. "Yes, get strong, and then go help clear the mine!"
[Ding! You've been offered the quest,
[The Mayor has been wishing to clear the mine to find his beloved's body for years and years. Unfortunately, he was never able to leave the city, and venture to the mines. He's looking for 15 adventurers to help clear the mines… Would you accept the quest?]
[Quest Difficulty: C-]
[Yes!]
[Ding! You've accepted the limited quest
After accepting the quest, Thrasher spent a few more minutes talking to the Mayor before Purple Monarch, Dream Knight, and Pinnacle Lilly arrived to accept the quest. They planned four different versions to trick the mayor into giving them the quest, and a few hours later, they ended up in front of the mine.
Luckily, the mayor had no idea they were well acquainted with him, and now they were each in front of four of the fifteen mine entrances.
"So… boss, are you sure it was leaving the new recruits out there?"
