Chereads / MIMI / Chapter 78 - Mr. Steamed Bun

Chapter 78 - Mr. Steamed Bun

Soon the pleasant night passed by in a flash. Settled on the table in their reserved room were jugs of beer, empty plates and a barely empty bottle of red wine.

Casually taking delicate sips of his wine, Tobias suddenly looks across from him to see the young girl lounged out peacefully on the large sofa, her body taking over half its size.

With soft breaths, Mimi sleeps comfortably on the sofa, as both men in the room watch the young girl lounge out.

"Guess she got so tired from all the eating and working." Alec, who sat beside his sister, said with a smile.

Both men were aware that despite the girl's cheery personality, she rarely slept as she worked for both Tobias and managed her own company. There were even times when Tobias would force the girl to sleep on his sofa in his office.

Although she'd reject him, he'd always persuade her to agree. Even if she said she'd do it and she wasn't tired, in the end, she'd always fall asleep in a few minutes.

With a sigh, Tobias sets his glass of wine down, his eyes looking down at the elegant watch on his wrist.

It was currently passed midnight and the restaurant was still open. That along with the manager being too nervous to tell them that they were closed.

After all, they were all elite figures and had paid a decent price for the private room.

Standing up to quietly walk towards the sleeping young girl, Tobias slowly lowers his body to gently hoist the girl up into his brawny arms.

The man's strong arms wrap around her small body, carefully pulling her closer to his chest, allowing her to prop her head into his chest near his lightly tanned neck.

Feeling a sudden warm and cozy source, Mimi nestles closer towards the pleasant warmth, her soft dainty nose inhaling the man's cool scent.

Such a nice and warm steamed bun!

While Mimi comfortably dozed off even further into the man's arms, he gently smiled at the girl's angelic appearance.

"What's her address?" Tobias turned to the side to stare at the blond man who looked keenly at him with complicated eyes.

"Ah, it's fine I'll take her home," Alec said as he stood up to reach for the cross-dressing girl in Tobias's arms.

"I drove." Tobias pointed out firmly.

From his sentence, he was clearly stating Alec had no way of getting home or bringing Mimi home. Unless they took a cab, however, both men knew Alec disliked taxies more than anything.

Looking at Tobias, Alec pressed his lips into a tight firm line, his light eyebrows furrowing. He then looked down at the girl sleeping soundly in his friend's arms.

Gentle calming breaths blew out from her rosy lips; her dark long lashes fluttered as she slept.

He was aware that Mimi hadn't told Tobias about their relationship or much about her. It seemed all Tobias was aware of was the fact that Mimi had her own reasons for joining the industry.

As it was Mimi's choice, Alec felt it wasn't his place to tell Tobias, despite being his close friend, to tell Tobias about things that even Mimi herself hadn't told the man.

But did that include informing him where she lived?

Mimi's living situation which he was there from the start, wasn't one would expect from a fifteen-year-old girl and would raise many questions in those who saw it.

It wasn't Alec was hesitant to tell Tobias where Mimi lived because he was worried the man would question Mimi or her situation.

He knew the man wasn't one to ask too many questions about someone's personal life especially if it wasn't his business.

The man was considered patient and indifferent.

If anything, it was more of the fact that he worried for himself when Mimi found out he told him.

She'd kill him!

Or possibly send his unwanted content to the world to be publicly shared!

Either way he could imagine the outcome wouldn't be pretty…

But then again, Mimi did favor the man and genuinely seemed to admire him quite strongly, so there was the possibility she wouldn't mind.

While Alec inwardly struggled on the decision, Tobias stares at the man with an arched brow.

What was he thinking so hard about?

In the end, Alec gave Tobias Mimi's address, as the three were currently driving toward Mimi's small friendly apartment complex.

Upon seeing the small complex, Tobias hadn't said a word as he parked and exited the car to carry the young girl sleeping soundly in the back seat.

"Number." Tobias's voice was husky and whispered as he daintily picked the girl up to head toward the building.

"Oh, ah…apartment 203." Alec flustered as he observed the man comfortably carry his sister gently as if she were something fragile.

After receiving a response, Tobias walked toward the apartment stairs to climb to the third floor. Alec, with a sigh, followed the man up toward Mimi's apartment.

Once they reached the top floor, Alec already having Mimi's keys, walked in the front to open the girl's door.

Upon opening, the sight before them was a dark living room with the kitchen clearly unused, set in front.

The furniture was minimum and only consisted of things that were needed to maintain comfort, a couch, TV, coffee table and some chairs near the kitchen's breakfast bar.

In a narrow hallway was the girl's small sized room with a single bed and stand on each side.

Without saying a word or admiring the apartment's structure, Tobias silently carried the girl toward her bedroom, using his foot to lightly tap the door open.

Very gently, Tobias propped the girl into the bed allowing her body to sit up gracefully onto the plump mattress.

Grumbling slightly, Mimi's white round nose twitches, as a frown forms on her rosy face.

The previous warmth she felt disappeared.

Because of her drowsiness, Mimi sways her small head into the man's hard stomach, as he gently clutched her graceful shoulders to keep her upright.

"Come on, sit up," Tobias's deep voice softly whispered.

"Mmm," Mimi grumbled irritably in her sleep, her rosy lips puckered out.

With a sigh, Tobias leans the girl away from his stomach to gradually take off her suit jacket. After a few minutes, Tobias had finally managed to get the girl's jacket off her body.

Once he finished, the girl had leaned back into his stomach, her face nestling even closer towards him.

Looking down at the girl rubbing her face into his stomach, Tobias's eyes widen slightly, his lips pressing into a firm line.

She truly gave off the impression of a snuggling kitten.

Supporting her shoulders, Tobias tilts her face away from his stomach to lay her down on the bed. Very silently, the man takes off the girls shoes and lets her tied hair flow down to her neck.

Going into the girl's bathroom, Tobias grabs a warm washcloth and begins to softly wipe the girl's makeup off her face.

"Mm, no Mr. Steamed Bun…" Mimi mutters in her sleep.

Mr. Steamed Bun? It seemed even when sleeping the girl continued to think of food...

With furrowed brows, Tobias tries exerting less pressure as he wiped the makeup off her face - the girl's delicate and youthful skin soon showing as he wiped.

Because of the wiping and warmth of the washcloth the girl's face was a rosy color, her cheeks glowing brightly.

For the next few minutes, Tobias pampered the girl until she was in the appropriate state to sleep.

Besides keeping her clothes on, the man had washed the girls face, taken off her shoes, and tucked her into bed.

Even going as far as to take out her contacts - which was surprisingly easier than he expected.

After he had finished, he gently tucked a few strands of the girl's silken hair away from her face - his dark eyes unknowingly softening as a gentle smile formed on his sensual lips.

Making sure everything was in place, Tobias walked out of the girl's room, quietly shutting her door as he leisurely walked into the living room where he met Alec.

Alec, currently resting on the grey couch with furrowed brows, looked up upon hearing the man's clear footsteps coming.

"Can we talk?" Alec looked into the man's dark eyes sternly.
