Chapter 76 - A Word Of Advice

After Eli spoke, Mimi subtly shifted her green luminous eyes toward his. Her upper lip twitched slightly.

"You must be Mr. Sato?" Mimi arched her brows amusedly.

"Haha, yes, that's me." Eli chuckled with a grin.

With a pleased expression, Mimi gently hums approvingly. Her eyes scanning the man seated a few chairs across from her. Seeing her gazing at the man with intent eyes, those around him suddenly shifted in their seats.

"Guess my sister was right." Mimi reached for her cup of water to take another sip.

"Oh? What was she right about?" Eli asked curiously.

"That you're a strange considerate person," Mimi replied bluntly.

Announcing those words, Mimi merely ignored the man's expression and continued to eat the food in front of her. Those around Eli looked at him as his eyes widened and a large smile spread across his lips.

"That sounds like your sister." Eli laughed.

"After what she said about you before, she considered you to be a magnanimous person or a sadist," Mimi said in between bites of her food.

"Pfff--" Alec abruptly choked on his drink, harsh coughs escaping his lips.

If anyone's the sadist, it's you!

Eli blinked his eyes dramatically as he stared at Mimi, he couldn't help but find the way the young boy spoke was similar to his sister. I guess that's what makes them siblings…

"I assure you I am not a sadist or a magnanimous person." Eli chuckled awkwardly.

A gentle smile curling up on his lips, Eli looks at Mimi with a sincere gaze.

"I have to admit your sister was relatively difficult to speak to in the beginning, but she's surprisingly extremely hard working and a sincere girl. I'll be certain to take good care of her Mr. Andras." Eli smiles tenderly.

Mimi's eyes darkened slightly before brightening once more.

Why did it sound like he asking for her blessing in marriage? And towards herself at that!

"I thank Mr. Sato for watching after my sister." Lifting her glass, she nods her head towards Eli before drinking the water.

"En." Eli chuckled.

"..."

Everyone who observed the scene between the two from the beginning silently stared with wide eyes.

What exactly was going on here?

Why did Eli say Mimi was hard-working when she hadn't even done an ounce of work since she arrived?

Was there something more going on behind the scenes?

Senior Su, who watched the two converse gripped her cup tightly her eyebrows slightly furrowed. However, just as they appeared, they quickly eased not once entering the eyes of anyone nearby.

Of course except for Mimi who witnessed the woman's actions from the beginning.

Interesting...

...

Through the night no one had spoken a word about Mimi afterward, they spent the rest of the night drinking and eating occasionally telling a few jokes and warmly speaking.

"I think it's time for us to go." Tobias's deep voice whispered into Mimi's ear.

Bobbing her head gently, Mimi calmly stands up from her seat along with Tobias and Alec.

"Ah, leaving already?" Eli asked upon seeing the three stand from their seats.

"En," Tobias grunted before heading out toward the exit.

Looking at the man's departing figure, Mimi chuckles lightly as she gently turns towards Eli and the other employees.

"Thank you for allowing us to join in on your celebration. Congratulations on your hard work everyone." Mimi smiles with a slight bow.

Everyone kindly smiles towards the young boy.

"Thank you, Mr. Andras!"

"Many thanks, Mr. Andras."

"Not at all, we enjoyed having you!"

After everyone had issued their thanks, Mimi smiled before walking toward the exit to catch up with Alec and Tobias.

However, upon exiting, Mimi halted her steps, her body leisurely turning towards those in the room.

"By the way, a word of advice…" Mimi's eyes flashed darkly, a sinister smile spread across her lips. "Sometimes it's the ones that work the least that actually work the most."

Toward her unusual words, everyone became silent, puzzled gazes spreading on their faces. Seeing this Mimi merely chuckled, flashing them an innocent smile once more.

"Goodnight everyone!"

With those words, the boy left the room and down the hall to catch up with the two tall figures waiting for her - a wide smile spread across her rosy lips, her eyes flashing mischievously.
