Although the Immortal King's incarnation had been created by the Immortal King, it clearly had some sentience. After all, even the Lord of Darkness that the Dragon of Destruction Azardas had created was capable of having a consciousness, what more the creation of a mythical figure like the Immortal King. Lin Li's actions caused the Immortal King's incarnation to feel a great sense of danger as well. He even began to attack Lin Li hysterically.
If the incarnation of the Immortal King had attacked Lin Li so hysterically right from the beginning, Lin Li might really have died there.
