Chapter 6 - Bottomless stomach?

Righteous Sword Saints of light

Palace Mountain Peak

Grand Hall

Sweat could be seen accumulating on the foreheads of all the Grandmasters in the room. Sitting in a multitude of smaller and larger circles that create a supportive formation to help aid their sects already crumbling grand formation! The heretics have led their brutal attack for the last two hours, in that time more than 40% of the barriers Qi reserves have been used up.

With no choices left the sect master order the next phase to being an entire week earlier than was originally planned!

"Who the hell would have thought these lowly disgusting bastards had such deep pockets!? How they hell do they have so many Mortal Warriors and so many formation plates?"

The Sect masters lementing made sense. Any other force with so many Mortal Warriors could conqueror enough land to be considered at least a pseudo 6-star empire! More than thirty 3-star Mortal warriors sacrificed their cultivation without any hesitation to help drive their respective formation plates. What left the sect master speechless was the fact that there were still several figures still lounging around the deck of the main ship and the presence they were giving off was no less than his own!

Standing up from the crowd of elders that were in reserve to switch out with those exhausted later was the Hall master of the Life Token Hall. in only a few hours his constitution has dwindled greatly. His once full head of pure white hair now had many bald areas with liver spots showing all over, and his eyes were sunken in and almost completely void of life.

As the hall master, most of the life tokens in this generation had been personally refined by him. He also held the key to the life formation that was inscribed on all the jades. For every jade that shattered he would suffer a small recoil.

If only a few shatter periodically it's not that big of a deal because there is usually enough time between each shatter, weeks months or even years worth of time, and that would be plenty of time to recover from such a small wound.

But what he was experiencing right now was on a completely different level! He did not have a profound cultivation base that would allow him to brush off the death of so many of their sects cultivators, and in the middle of this war he felt life token after life token shatter.

No longer able to stay silent he moved forward to address the sect master!

"My lord! Something has to be done! I beg of you please send out one of the newly promoted motal warriors with a small squad to find out what's happening to our disciples! The intervals of their death are growing closer and closer. We have lost no less then a few hundred at this point!

We will have no foundation even if we survive this war! Our future is bleak, please i beg of you investigate why the previous guards have not returned yet!"

Looking at the haggard looking Token Hall Master, the sect master could do nothing but frown! It wasn't that he was unconcerned about the sects youth blood, it's just that his attention has been focused on fine tuning the grand protection formation in hopes to keep it standing even if only a moment longer!

Having no time to ponder about why it seemed like hell was closing in all around the sect at once, the sect master just nodded his head, pointed at two of the newly promoted Mortal Warriors and told them to take twenty Grandmaster and Master level cultivators to investigate what's happening on the sect mountains!

Somewhere Not Far From Palace Mountain Peak

"It seems like even after killing more than 200 disciples, they really are to occupied with the heretics to worry about me. Well that gives me time to suck all the meat off these miskitos, although weak I've seen a huge boost in my cultivations!"

Wandering the mountains and crossing paths with the outer disciples of the sect has helped push Alucards cultivation by leaps and bounds. By hiding in trees or in small caves he can spend a bit of time refining all the blood essences he's been absorbing so as to not hurt his foundation.

Every world or realm has their own genius that can cross the continents with a single leap. But never in a 1-star realm have they heard of someone going from no cultivation to breaking through to the Mortal Master realm only a few hours after coming into the world.

Higher realms although saturated in higher quality of spiritual essence also have the advantage of practitioners of higher levels. For a Spirit greater realm cultivator to craft a mortal cultivation technique would be like snapping their fingers. Something as easy as breathing.

When you have access to higher-tier information the techniques that you can forge through that knowledge is on a much grander scale! Alucards realm had been connected to a 6-star realm!

It was easy for him to send his people out and steal information that helped lead him to build the cultivation technique that he's so proud of today! In a 6-star realm it's not unusual for individuals to be born with spirit level cultivations, or even have their nascent souls take their first breathes within the first week of their lives!

So while Alucards speed may seem fast to the entire realm, to him this could barely be considered passable. If not for the fact that he has never cultivated this technique properly or reached minor completion in it, he wouldn't be going slow to insure the safety of his foundation for future growth.

"These mosquitoes are really so poor! How dare they come find trouble for me and not even bring anything of value! Where are all the storage items that should be filled with Spirit stones and valuable Qi pills?

The most I've grabbed off of any individual body is a half-dozen fasting pills! Even when my world was in the 1-star realm my citizens were never this poor!"

What Alucard fails to take into consideration is the fact that he had huge backing among the demons! I mean when your grandfather was no less than a Demi-God wouldn't getting plenty of resources for such a weak world be extremely easy?

Letting out a big sigh Alucard could only shake his head as he continued to move towards the next group of patrolling disciples!

"I hope that once i get to the inner parts of the mountain i can meet a few rich young masters! There's no way this sect doesn't have a few silk pants lying around with how stingy they are to their outer disciples!

I forgot to ask, System can you scan and see.."

[immediate danger found, suggesting host quickly escape!]

Being interrupted mid sentence was something unusual for this past demon lord to experience! But when he heard what the system was saying all he could do was try and stop his movements and find the best direction to run into!

Unfortunately before he could change directions Chains formed of blinding white light coiled out from the ground beneath his feet, winding their way up his legs. Each of the chains lodge their heads directly into his skin piercing the soft hazelnut skin!

Using his sense he could tell that the chains didn't just stop at impaling him! Once inside his body they broke into several smaller chains of light and started to constrict the flow of Qi in his body!

Coming out of the bushes were no less than 100 figures. A majority were dressed in the same outer sect attire he had seen coming towards the center mountain, but now he could see about 40 plus people with gold trimmed and even two black trimmed sleeves on their attire.

They could only be inner sect disciple's and two elders! Finally the sect was making their move to stop the massacre of this demon!

"Lu Ni i told you there was no reason to gather so many outer disciples, with the amount of inner disciples the sect master gave us, it was plenty to use our binding technique on him!"

One of the black sleeved old men among the group spoke out to the other black sleeved elder! You could tell they were feeling very jubilant with themselves at the moment!

Regardless of the turn of events, as long as the sect survives this calamity they would surely be rewarded for bringing down a demon that has already killed so many of the outer disciples. Even if those outer disciples only have cultivations of Mortal Masters, they are all important resources to the sect!

Everything from cutting wood, drawing water, Working as Guards, managing the fields, working the mines, and even building houses is mainly done by the outer disciples while the inner disciples try their hardest to make breakthroughs or head outside the sect in hopes to finish missions to help increase the sects overall strength!

If the sect lose's to many outer disciples the system that has been built up for generations would halt, and the progression of the inner disciples would be greatly affected. With the capture and eventual death of this demon there would be many rewards for them. And although they won't be around for much longer to enjoy them since their death was more or less guaranteed within the next 50 years they could pass these resources off to their clans and descendents in hopes that the sect and their families could prosper without them!

"Lu Na you're right. You know me, mother always did say that i worry to much for nothing!"

The second elder who shared several of the same features as his counterpart Lu Na, smiled lightly but brought out a fan to cover his smile almost immediately! If you look closely the fan was glowing with many inscriptions and seemed to be resonating with the formation binding Alucard up!

"Lu Na this is much more boring than i thought it would be. I thought we would at least get to try out our new cultivation bases so as to ascertain our current strength. I guess we made this trip for not!"

"Lu Ni don't say that, i know its been awhile since we've partook in the dissection class but what about spending a bit more time here giving all of our juniors a lesson on the inner workings of demons!"

With that one statement and the wave of his hand Lu Na sliced off Aucards left hand. Up until this moment Alucard had actually been a bit panicked. Although the chains of light were not causing the internal damage to him that the elders thought it should, he was still having his Qi restricted to the point it was also affecting his body!

If he couldn't break free from this formation then he would be as good as a sitting duck just waiting to get his feathers plucked and thrown into the oven!

Luckily alucard didn't panic for long! There was no way members of this rank one world would have a grasp on the depth of his soul cultivation! Beating himself up for being to lax and not wanting to expend extra energy on constantly scanning his surrounding Alucard was now using his spirit to sensing for weaknesses on the chains themselves and the inscriptions laid on the fan!

Right as he was about to exert his soul force and just break the chains he felt his left arm get a little lighter. Immediately after his left arm suddenly felt a sharp pain, and then it felt like there was a tearing pain..

It was only after his left arm was mangled up from these two elders attacks did his eye glow a profound crimson color! The light of his eyes was so bright that it pushed back the light of the sun and dyed the area and everyone in it the light of blood. His left hand that laid on the ground and all the blood that had been ripped from his body suddenly started to bubble forth mightily!

Blood started to gush out like an underground water channel was found! Within 5 seconds 50 meters of space was covered in thick warm blood! Before any of the outer disciples and several of the Mortal Master inner disciples could react they had already been impaled by a bloody Stalagmite! Within two seconds those who were impaled found themselves mummified and dead with no chance to regret their choice!

Those who were quick enough to realize something was wrong immediately jumped to the sides of the two elders. Seeing that things were getting out of hand the Lu Na pulled out a formation plate and drove his Qi to the fullest to erect a barrier, pushing out all the blood and leaving about 10 meters worth of space for those who were left to huddle together and figure out their next move!

"Brother, i think your attacks offended our guest here hehe. Looks like things aren't going to be so boring after all"

Lu Ni couldn't help but smile at the fact that maybe they wouldn't be bored on this mission after all. It was clear that he didn't really care about the fact that all the outer sect disciples they were suppose to be fighting for ended up dead anyway!

Lu Na only smiled lightly as well and brought out his own fan aiming a swipe at the demon that laid before them! They were Mortal Warriors and their opponent was only in the mortal master realm, as far as they were concerned even if an army of demons was at the door of the sect, they alone could overturn the battle field with the slight wave of their hands!

Right as the sword Qi was about to tear through the bound demon, the blood on the ground moved again and this time it swallowed Alucard in a blood sphere! The Sword Qi while scratching up the bloody sphere tried to continue to push forward and through to the inner parts of the sphere just for the sword qi to eventually dissipate before breaking through.

Feeling a bit embarrassed now, Lu Ni waved his fan and three long blades slid out of the inner parts of the fan. This time he put more of his cultivation base into his swipes and sent three Qi blades to the blood sphere!

When the blades connected with the sphere you could hear the sound of ringing and crashing resounding from within the sphere. The two brothers began to smile a bit more thinking that this demon couldn't really put up a good defence after all and that it was only a matter of time before they broke through.

When they seen that the sphere defended against the qi blades once again their faces started to flush with slight hints of red, but in the next second the sphere completely started to collapse revealing the evil within!

What they thought would be a mangled corpse turned out to be the previously enraged demon now standing there with his left arm and hand completely intact! Although his clothes were a bit more shredded up, outside that there didn't seem to even be a hair missing from him. What's to say more is that his aura actually seems like it has grown a bit in those moments he we sealed away within the sphere!

Alucard lifted his left hand to his face to take a look while flexing his fingers a few times to get a feel for his new hand. The healing factor of a vampire when cultivated correctly, should never be underestimated. There are times when an appendage has been amputated and if you can reconnect it in time to the stump there is a chance to save the appendage.

Very rarely will you see a race that can naturally regrow limbs. Most normal body cultivation techniques do not allow cultivators to regrow limbs. If the limb isn't immediately reattached and supplements used to encourage the union of the limb then there is still a chance that after the healing process that limb will forever be crippled. Although you may look aesthetically pleasing, trying to use techniques with that limb would be impossible.

But Vampires, with enough blood or power have a very high success rate of regrowing entire limbs. The biggest drawback is that if they don't have the resources available it can take a while or they may be forced down a few levels to regrow the limb depending on their control over their bloodline powers.

Luckily for alucard, his cultivation technique is the Infinite Blood Ocean technique. It would be a stretch to say that he doesn't have enough blood to regrow a hand or even an entire arm. It just affects his cultivation level. With his body cultivation being at a higher level than his Qi cultivation, he has to expend twice the effort for half of the effect.

But even still, to be able to regrow an entire hand to its most pristine state without having to worry about limb rejection or a drop in muscle quality was already a blessing. Although it may take a bit to get use to the new hand, the higher his soul cultivation they better control he has of his body at the micro level!

The entire time alucard was flexing his fingers investigating his newly grown limb, the two elders never stopped their attack. The blood pooled 1 meter around Alucards feet, never touching him allowing his feet to be gently caressed by the grass tickling his toes. If he made a step in any direction the blood would be sure to make way as if worshippers giving way to their deity.

Inside the Qi barrier the elders and disciples were getting irritated, they had been releasing attack after attack at this damnable demon in hopes to tire him out or completely finish him off, but the blood pool hindered their every move!

As if a majestic play, every spell or sword Qi shot at Alucard would be intercepted by waves of blood swallowing up the attacks. It was awe inspiring seeing the bloody pool doing everything it can to make sure its master did not suffer any injustices while he was still in the midsts of investigating his new hand!

Many times the attacks from the sect members seemed like they were just about to break through the defense of this blood pool but each and every time the blood would preserve!

The disciples were starting to grow restless, for it didn't seem like they could find a safe way out of their predicament nor did any of them have the strength the bust through in one fell swoop. The fear of being mummified like their sect brothers and sisters lingered in the back of their minds, slowly creeping into their hearts.

The elders on the other hand were not as weak minded as the disciples, they could feel the tension rising on their side even though the demon hadn't even spared them a second glance after freeing itself they now could feel the pressure to survive rising!

"Lu Na, don't be distracted! Although this bloody technique is unusual but it clearly consumes an astronomical amount of Qi to maintain!"

Lu Ni was one of the few masters of spells inside the sect, things related to formations, runes, glyphs, so on and so forth were generally ran by him and a few others as they were considered very well experienced! And although he had never seen a technique like this before, he could clearly see the effects of using the technique.

The once beautifully scarlett blood was losing its lusters and was turning into a much darker burgundy color. Even the immense pressure the blood once released had trickled down into almost a light breeze.

"For every attack successfully defended against an equal amount of Qi is expended. This blood Qi cannot last much longer without returning to its source or it will evaporate into the air. Either way, that will be our chance to finish this bastard off!"

Everything that this Elder Lu Ni said was right, since this bloody pool had to defend against attacks above its masters current Qi cultivation level, it was definitely taking a huge toll on its Qi reserves! But if this elder thought that this bloody pool was Alucards trump card or even his limit, than he would be greatly mistaken!

This small pool of blood was nothing more than the amount of blood he had accumulated in his hand alone! And the Qi that was running out, it was even easier to refill it giving it back its usual scarlett luster!

"To think that this body would have so many benefits when cultivating this technique. Although my last demonic body bolstered a high physique giving me immense strength while also being able to contain large amounts of spiritual and soul energy without worry of backlash.

There is no way i would have been able to perfectly recreate a limb with such precision even with my cultivation being in the Divine Core Formation realm. At most there would have been a 96% likeness but that last 4% while seemingly negligible could be the difference between life and death when facing old foes or enemies much stronger than oneself.

It's almost like this Infinite Blood ocean technique was meant to be cultivated by vampires! They already have such a high affinity with blood, they have a deep history in cultivating soul arts, and their physique is closer to demons while having a relatively human like form."

For human cultivators it is very hard to cultivate the body without strange things coming about. Most humans when they can finally start to cultivate their bodies they would generally hunt down a kind of savage beast to use their heart's blood Qi to temper their bodies.

It's very rare to see human cultivators that take body cultivation seriously, so outside of getting to the later parts of the Mortal Realm or early parts of the Spirit realm most body cultivation is almost instantly abandoned!

There are three reasons for abandonment. The first also being the largest reason and that is, there is a large chance of altering your physiology on the genetic level! Humans pride themselves on their looks and heritage, even believing themselves to be the rightful inheritors of the heavens! How does it look for them to grow an extra limb, or have their nose grow into a snout?

In the end it comes down to the fact that humans are vein! The second reason that deters humans from furthering their body cultivation is the simple fact that it's painful! In the beginning of body cultivating you're mainly just seeing an increase in your vitality with only a few thousand pounds increase of strength.

The largest benefit of the vitality would be the added longevity and the fighting off of ageing. Surprisingly enough, it is actually women who push through the pain of body cultivation the longest in hopes to have a few extra years of youth. Men know that the path to the heavens is through Qi cultivation and see no real need to go over and beyond for their body cultivation.

The third and least talked about reason, is that unless the cultivation technique used for the body tempering is profound on a completely different level, humans know that they will never be stronger than the other races that have a better physique naturally. Even if the other race isn't physically stronger than humans, they're probably faster, or heal quicker, or have a higher defence. Humans tend to not compete in areas they feel they have no chance of winning at.

Humans know that if they ever fought an opponent of another race at the same Body cultivation level as them then they had almost zero chance of winning the battle and would do everything they can to flee from the scene to fight another day!

Most humans rely very heavily on their Qi arts, with body and soul arts being in the minority and used only for supplementary tasks, like Alchemy, refining, and crafting. If you find humans that have profound Body and Soul cultivation, their sect must have deep pockets and a vast heritage to help push their cultivation! The only other exception of course being Origin world cultivators.

Having numerous world's, with trillions of beings below you. Allocating some extra resources for your cultivation is almost a non-issue! Nevertheless humans spent a majority of their time and effort cultivating their Qi path and hardly glanced at the soul or body path. Even having disdain for those who push through the pain labeling them as perverts for putting up with it all.

Seeing the blood lose its luster all around him Alucard didn't do anything fancy and just took his claw and cut a deep gash into his right hand, allowing copious amount of blood to join with the puddle around him.

Seeing his actions, the elders quickly grew pale! Never would they have thought that he still had so much blood left inside of him to use for this technique! Where was he hiding all of this blood at? He was just a 13 year old child! Was his stomach a bottomless pit used only to hold the blood hes devoured from his victims?

But it was that thought that sent shivers down their back! What if that really was the truth? What if his stomach really had no end to the amount of blood within! They had to run! They had to escape! There was no way to fight something that was endless!

And with that thought the disciples broke rank first. Immediately running in all direction out of the barrier hoping that they would be the one to be missed by the seemingly sentient blood!
