Shen Yi lifted a hand, instantly stopping his assistant from pushing Gong Yijun out of the bridge. "Do you know what happens to everyone who keeps on disappointing me?" he asked sternly, "Didn't I make myself clear when I warned you before?"
Gong Yijun couldn't see him from his position. The ever-consuming darkness below the bridge waited for him. His eyes widened, breath ragged and harsh. His whole body shook as his own throat betrayed him and stifled his scream. He heard it coming his way; the light and assured footsteps of Shen Yi were like a threatening whisper to his soul.
It didn't seem he was going to survive tonight. The sounds around him encapsulated him inside, feeding his fear, despair, and hopelessness. It only dawned upon him that he indeed offended the wrong person, and it was too late for him to beg for her mercy. He probably wouldn't make it out alive.
