The next day, the twins woke up before the adults. Shen Yuyan squirmed a little as she tried to get out of Lu Xinyi's arm that lay across her. Beside her, Shen Zhichen cracked an eye open and silently glared at his sister, telling her to be still and not wake up their Aunty Xinxin.
Lu Xinyi rolled on her back and sighed softly in her sleep. Shen Yuyan took a quick glimpse of her Aunty Xinxin's face before turning back her attention to her brother, surprised that her gaze landed on her Uncle Yi's eyes. She was about to open her mouth to say something, but Shen Yi shook his head and gestured her to keep quiet.
A smile crossed on the little girl's lips in understanding. Since she still had enough time to sleep, she went back to slumber beside her Aunty Xinxin.
