Shen Yi's mood didn't improve even when the doctor came to treat Lu Xinyi's swollen foot. He hadn't let her go and kept sitting beside her, watching how she winced in pain and bit her lower lip as she tried to stop her tears from flowing.
The doctor gently pressed around the ankle to determine which ligaments were injured and tried to move it in different directions. Lu Xinyi hissed, and her grip on her husband's arm tightened.
"You're lucky there aren't any broken bones, Miss Lu, but your ankle is mildly tender and swollen. It may take at least five days before you can walk properly. Make sure you rest your ankle by not walking on it." The doctor said, and let one of the servants take an ice pack to keep the swelling down.
"I'll give you some pain medications that can help control pain and swelling." Those were his last words to the couple before leaving the VIP room with his assistants.
