Shen Xue took one of the cream puffs and put it on his mouth. He was so excited to try the desserts that he didn't wait for Lu Xinyi or his brother and ate his share. The outer crust had a golden tan color and somewhat brittle while the inner crumb was dense and fluffy. Each puff was filled with a sweet whipped cream and then dusted with powdered sugar on top.
