"Let go of me! You're hurting me!" Lu Xinyi resisted but failed to free herself.
"Not until you listen to me!" Gong Yijun insisted.
"Let her go." Xiao Lan warned. She couldn't just watch Lu Xinyi being hurt by someone.
"Stay out of this, woman!" Gong Yijun pushed her off hardly, and Xiao Lan fell to the ground.
"Xiao Lan!" Lu Xinyi was horrified when she saw her new friend get assaulted by her ex. "You bastard! I will never forgive you!" she shouted at his face.
Stunned by her words, Gong Yijun released her arm. Lu Xinyi stepped back and helped Xiao Lan back to her feet.
"I'm okay." Xiao Lan assured her, wiping the dirt from her clothes.
"What should I do to make you forgive me?" he asked. His eyes looked around them before his hands gripped both sides of his head. "I know! Marry me!"
Lu Xinyi stared at her delusional ex-boyfriend before laughing. What kind of joke was that?
