After some arguments over who's gonna sleep in the bed, Lu Xinyi gave up and let her husband share the bed with her. She felt a bit guilty that she'd consider kicking him off the bed when he was the man of the house. They decided to just put some pillows in between, and it should be fine.
She took a quick nap after their lunch and woke up late in the afternoon, with Shen Yi lying beside her, deep in his thoughts. He was twirling a strand of her long hair between his fingers. His eyes seemed cold and distant, but she had known that he was always like this when he was thinking or preoccupied.
Even after their cruise vacation, Lu Xinyi learned that he'd always return to his impassive and indifferent facade that everyone acknowledged. She'd accepted that maybe this was one of his defenses aside from his self-control.
