It didn't have anything to do with Xu Rouguang's state of mind; it was simply because Sovereign Cinders could burn the children of the gods more easily than other immortals. If Sovereign Cinders didn't have this advantage, their fight wouldn't take hours; Xu Rouguang wouldn't go down and tumble on the ground as well.
Xu Rouguang refused to give up as he tried to get to his feet again. However, Sovereign Cinders landed heavily on his back, making him choke out blood and saliva. The dragon walked off of him and kicked him to lie and curl in a supine position.
A laugh came from Sovereign Cinders again as he squatted next to Xu Rouguang and grabbed the deathless general's lower jaw with his hand. "Rou'er, are you convinced now? Or should I make you experience what you could have had if you picked me instead?"
