Unfortunately, Lai Mingyan didn't know what kind of monsters his parents were supposed to protect the city from. Were they the same monsters Aqua's daddy was fighting? He didn't know, but he still held onto her hand.
"I'll tell them about it. Mommy and Daddy will help your daddy." Nonetheless, he was confident that his parents wouldn't leave this daddy alone.
"Ew! They're holding hands!" A girl screamed as she spotted Lai Mingyan holding Aqua's hand. Like all girls in the daycare, they liked Mingyan because his parents were rich and he was a beautiful child. When she spotted this new girl holding his hand, she screamed in jealousy.
Aqua quickly pulled her hand away and hugged her doll. She kept her head lowered as if shrinking herself. Lai Mingyan was surprised when the girl screamed and when Aqua took her hand away. He then frowned a little before throwing a deathly glare at the other child.
