A lot of buildings had been destroyed during the Forgotten Night—as it was dubbed by the masses, but some places had survived due to luck, structural integrity, or defense arrays. The Bloodvein Café and Imperial Homes were few of these places while JT was the most prominent. Since many lives were lost despite the combined efforts of the two groups, a lot of humans had ventured around... hoping to get liquor from somewhere.
The Bloodvein Café was momentarily open to humans while the other demons were lamenting their losses. A lot of them jumped in front of abyssal demons just to get the humans away from danger. Some had also sat through long periods of being with immortals as they could locate more people by smell and sound.
