Excruciating pain was the only thing he remembered.
He felt his flesh rip apart and his blood burn his skin with its warmth. His bones had broken with that last blow... along with his consciousness. He didn't know how to feel for a few seconds... until sudden yet massive waves of regret washed away all the other emotions he had.
Xu Rouguang wasn't mad anymore; he was more like on the verge of crying.

Amidst the pitch-black darkness, voices began to surface. They sounded angry, agitated... hungry. Xu Rouguang forced himself to open his eyes as he felt light was reflecting somewhere before him.
