A cold chill was the only trace left by the duo who visited him in his laboratory. Chartreuse's expression had grown grave as soon as he was sure that they had gone away. He then walked to the cabinet filled with The Witness. His eyes flashed with coldness as he murmured inaudible words.
"Miao Bu?" Liang Lian knocked on the door and opened it, knowing that her boss was alone by then. She stared into his murderous gaze while walking towards him. "Miao Bu?"
"Liang Lian, what did the demons say? Did they find the creature that broke out of the barn house?" Chartreuse then hummed, dispelling his awful face. He turned to the woman before smiling at her. However, it didn't make her swoon like normal.
"They all said they were being gagged by Botangca." Liang Lian tilted her head to the side. "Miao Bu, could it be that they were protecting the primal demon as you said they would?"
