The stark sunlight continued to batter Lai Mingjie's vision as he stayed on the beach. Baobao started to fish again, but Lai Mingjie's fall had scared all the fish away. Moreover, he had caused a giant hole in whatever restriction barrier they had in place...
Lai Mingjie was watching the barrier break apart slowly. Every minute that passed would take off a chunk from its gaping hole. However, it seemed that Baobao didn't even see it as she continued to swim around and find fish.
Soon, she went to the beach and shook the water off of her fur next to Lai Mingjie, drizzling him with it. She then growled at him. "My task is to collect fish while meditating on my teachings! How am I supposed to finish this now?!"
"Relax, your task is fish; mine's to go home. Guess we're both not going anywhere for the meantime." Lai Mingjie sighed and said so because he had felt the movements from behind him. He didn't need to have eyes on the back of his head to know that they were being surrounded.
