The crisp sound of dripping water echoed all over the void, and even when his eyes were closed, his brows couldn't help but furrow. Lai Mingjie popped one of his eyes open and glared at the woman splashing imaginary water with her dainty feet.
Like before, the whole room was nothing but darkness, the only light came from the red glint of the blood chains slithering all over the seated man's limbs.
"What is it?" Lai Mingjie sighed as he closed his eyes again. It was another day in the Abyss, another day with Youming's useless chattering. However, only silence answered him. Since he liked this silence, he didn't ask her again.
Youming sat where she stood, getting easily bored with the solitude she suffered from. Even if she wasn't the one locked in the abyss now, she was still unable to escape it. Her body had been destroyed by Nuwa and by the collective consciousness that she only had one chance to produce a remnant soul.
