Crimson City had one of the most boisterous nightlives, and yet some parts of the city were like desolated streets. Long Kai opted to arrive at his uncle's membership bar after taking Mo Yanli home. Her father was currently in the hospital so Mo Yanli was forced to take a second job on top of her evening shift in their restaurant, making her a teacher in the daycare. Right now, she was headed home, but her boyfriend found some time to walk her home.
She then giggled as she looked around the dark streets. "It's so dark out here; it's always scary."
"You don't sound scared though."
"Why would I be? You're here. Who else could keep me safe tonight if not you?" Mo Yanli was aware that they had been losing their time together because they both work two jobs. Moments like this were something that she treasured as they came.
"Sorry about not telling you about last night." Long Kai sighed. "I just thought you might be scared and worried every time you go home alone."
