While everyone was watching the extermination happening outside, Xu Rouguang went to sit with his family. Yu Shenqi went over to check up on him and murmured her worry as she panicked. She didn't know what he meant by 'too damaged' and 'can't summon', but she knew that he was terribly sick. To think that Lai Mingjie would leave Xu Rouguang alone at this state?
Then again, she realized that Xu Rouguang kept on glaring away from everyone else. She had never seen him so angry that his blue eyes would exude such a scary feel. Perhaps Lai Mingjie knew Xu Rouguang was mad, and so he went to bring back the head of this Cinders guy.
Yu Shenqi was wearing Lai Mingyan, and the child felt Xu Rouguang's presence. He then reached out his hand which the mother figure caught and gently tucked in the carrier. Xu Rouguang vanquished his glare and smiled warmly at the child who was staring straight at him. "Be good, Mingyan. Stay with your Mama for now."
