I arrived early as usual but was surprised to notice a girl already waiting for me there.
"Hey Hannah, you came for the class?"
"That's one of the reasons too, but actually I wanted to thank you for helping my father."
Even if we wanted to keep some powers and certain situations as secrets it was impossible to hide some of them, someone getting back his leg after being cut off was one of them. The details weren't mentioned as even the doctors weren't sure about how I managed to do that, but when I was asked I had no problems in them knowing that it was me.
"Nothing to thank me for. I wasn't even sure if it was going to work, but I'm glad it did… does he noticed anything weird or does he have any problems with the leg?
"No, he is as well as before the accident."
"Good to hear, keep an eye on him anyway…"
There was a little silence after we finished that topic I suddenly thought about something.
"Since your father is fine are you leaving the law enforcement?"
Her reason to join was mainly to get more money for her father so with him back to his pick condition it wasn't necessary for her to stay there anymore.
"No, even if I had yet to face a beast since I joined, that helpless feeling from that night still haunts me… I said to myself that my reason to join was my father, but that was just a little push in this direction. I don't want to feel like that again, I don't want to just freeze there and wait for my death, and this will give me an opportunity to at least fight back the next time."
I don't think that law enforcement is really that prepared for those things, but it was better than nothing. They might not have to face the beasts like the hunting teams, but at least they learn how to fight them.
"Let's hope you don't have to use these classes to fight them tho. Fighting without a weapon is really difficult. What weapon are you using?"
"Shotgun and they are training me in the use of the ballista."
"Good choices, with your reflexes the shotgun suits you, and the ballista is faster than the mounted Railgun."
"Hey, they praised my reflexes at the weapon training too, how did you know? I was kind of clumsy back in school."
"That's your ability, I noticed it the other day during training."
"I have a superpower too?"
"I don't know if it's worth of being called a superpower, but after the meteor shower you got your reflexes improved in comparison to average people."
"That explains a lot… so I'm like you guys?"
I could see the excitement in her eyes.
"In some way but don't let it go over your head. You have a little advantage in fighting that other people don't have, but most of the beast has the same or even more advantages. Remember that most of the people that died had powers stronger than yours and it didn't stop them from dying."
She nodded thoughtfully as she understood what I said, she had an advantage compared to other people but not to the beasts. I noticed that most of the people already filled the place which meant that it was time to start the class.
"Go with the rest of the group. I'm going to start the class."
Hannah left me there as I looked around. The number of new faces was fewer than before, most of the people that were here for the class came from the previous two groups as the number of recruits was obviously less than before.
There was one person that surprised me. In between the crowd, there was a young girl, it was impossible for her to be over 14 years old.
It was weird seeing such a young girl wanting to join, but what made me notice her was her face. There was some familiarity to her that was difficult to pass by, but after stopping my gaze on her for a few seconds, I was able to know why she seems familiar.
The aura view showed me once again that most of the people didn't have any powers, but the girl was an Esper, and if I'm not wrong she should be at least a D-Rank.
Before more people noticed that I stopped a few seconds on the girl and thought that I was some kind of pervert, I continued looking at them did a similar presentation to the previous one… I probably will have to change it soon since most of the people already heard it already.
The class went on smoothly and advanced faster than the last ones since most of them already practiced these techniques before, and some of them were even able to guide their partners making my job easier.
The class finished a little earlier than usual. My mentor class was on the verge of advancing to Lv. 3 and teaching Krav Maga also helped me gather experience faster.
The other people left the place to the next class when I noticed that the young girl was looking at me as if debating with herself about what to do.

[Mission: Recruit Sophie Price into the Aes Sidhe]
Type: Normal
Reward: F-Rank Ticket(Shareable), 50 EP
Time Limit: -]
The mission came from nowhere.
Even if I never heard her name, I knew that the person mentioned by the system was the young girl in front of me.
Price… the last name was the clue that confirmed my theory about the girl's identity.
The sad part was that I didn't know who it belonged until the memorial service. This young girl was Gabriel's younger sister.
But this was something that I already figured out. What really took me by surprise was that I had to recruit her into my group.
I still had two more slots for people, but I already had two people in mind for those two spaces. This makes it necessary for me to upgrade the Rank of my faction to allow me to get more people inside.
The two people that I had in mind were Cecily and Mr. Ryan.
Hayley's dad was somewhat obvious, even if they aren't as close as before he still was his only family left, and when we leave this place, there were no chances of me splitting them apart.
About Cecily, she was an objective of the NDR and as long as Ramsey is alive, he will try to get her back… if she stays here, Green Shelter was going to become a target, and her power is too useful to let it go.
The addition Sophie into the mix left me in need of more slot to recruit all the people I wanted.
Sophie Clenched her fist and walked fast towards me.
"H-h-hi are you Spencer D-Davis?"
It was clear that she was really nervous as her cheeks were dyed red as much as she tried to look calm.
"Yes, you are Gabriel's sister right?"
At the mention of her dead brother all the courage that she managed to gather was taken, she just nodded weakly to confirm my thoughts.
"Yes, I'm Sophie."
"I'm sorry for your lost, he was a great guy."
"He always talked about you…"
The sudden revelation surprised me. It's not like we were close or anything so the fact that he talked with his sister about me was unexpected. As if she recalled something her eyes were filled with determination once again and looked at me.
"Please teach me!"
"…"
"…"
"What do you mean with teaching you?"
"Train me… make me strong so that I can kill anything that tries to hurt us… I don't want anyone to suffer what I went through."
This was her determination… this was what she got as an answer when she left the dark place where she probably fell after her brother's death.
Would this be right? Do I even have the time to train her?
This way would be a lot easier to make her join my group, but I couldn't help but feel as if I was using her.
The system had reasons to give this mission, and from the look of her aura, I could see her potential. She was bound to be as strong as anyone from my group.
I could see that she was nervous but still was looking at me with her eyes filled with hope and resolve.
Well…
I see no harm in helping her for the time being until I decide if it correct for her to join, there is no time limit so I can even wait years if I want anyway.
"It's going to be harsh, are you sure you want this?"
"Yes!!"
I see no harm in letting her join our afternoon training, let's see how firm her resolve really is.
"Ok, this is my address, after you finish your training go there and head to the roof."
"Yes, Sir!!"
"Now go, or you will be late to your weapon training."
She nodded and left to her next class as I left and went back to the apartment for now thinking about the two girls that decided to fight back instead of falling in despair.
This was a good day and I was looking forward to spending some time with Rose.
I went into the house and noticed that Rose was reading something on the couch, Cai-Cai was at the window, and Dana was playing with Lucy and our three cats.
