The teenager in Spencer's vision had covered half her face with her raven black hair. A grey eye was looking at the pearl that she just formed with amazement.
"Sooooo beautiful!!"
She said with a soft and tired voice while holding the pearl. Since it was an image brought back by psychometry Spence had no way of knowing what she was thinking.
The girl left the pearl together with the other one in a little pouch.
After the girl put away the pearl, the scene changed…
…
The pearl was accompanied by other six pearls, and all of them were resting on top of a luxurious wooden table… the girl looked at an old looking man. His pure white hair and beard was a high contrast with the girl's total opposite dark hair, but both had the same grey eyes.
The girl looked at the man with a happy smile.
"So you are telling me that you might be able to move people with these things?"
"Yes, dad!!…"
The man just looked at her.
"How it works?"
"I-i… I'm not sure… but I broke one by mistake yesterday, and I was able to feel when it was broken. After that the place where I break the pearl was weird, and I was able to move a tree that was near back to my room where I had the other pearls. By the way, I need some repairs in my room the tree is kind of in the middle of it now… I had to sleep on one of the guest rooms!!!"
"I see…"
The old man seemed to be pondering deeply about something and ignoring the last phrase…
"Can you make more of this?"
"Yes but it takes a while and is really tiring..."
She said pouting…
"I'll make your room even bigger and find you a new assistant…"
"Deal!!"
"Oh also have you been able to control your teleport? I would like you to go and deliver these pearls in some places… you know if someone is troubled you can bring them here?"
"Sure! I have it almost under control."
"Good, when you feel ready to go, start with your brother, I'll let him know that you are going soon next time we talk."
The girl picked up some pearls and put most of them back into her pouch leaving one behind for her father.
…
The next image showed the girl in the middle of a forest.
"…Where am I?"
She looked around for a few seconds until she saw a mountain. She climbs on a tree to sit on a branch, from where she surveyed her surroundings for a while before taking out a cereal bar and eat it.
"Aaaand now!"
She suddenly appeared on top of the mountain.
Using her hand to prevent the sunlight coming into her eyes she looked around looking for something.
"I can't have missed it for too much… right?"
She took the pearl on her hands and started to talk to it.
"Well once you are there, I would be able to come and go whenever I want. Those look like farms… and that spot should be the city."
She noticed some bird coming in her way, and she disappeared again. This time she was on a tall building in the center of the city…
"Soooo dad said that he is staying in a good housing complex… from here everything looks like trash… it might be that one…"
The girl moved for the last time.
She appeared gate of the housing complex and was quickly surrounded by two guards led by a dangerous looking bald-black guy in a suit. If Myles Yaxley was surprised to see the girl in there, he didn't show it on his face.
"State your business. who are you and how you got in here?"
"Hi, you should be from security… I'm looking for my brother which house is his?"
"Your brother?"
"Yeah James Hamilton, dad sent me here to give him something."
"I'm sorry for my rudeness miss Hamilton please follow me this way."
The girl looked the houses around… until she was grossed out by a pile of corpses bleeding into a pool. A man was next to the pool and noticed the girl.
"Janice?"
"Bro! dad sent me!"
The girl moved past Yaxley to his brother.
"Here…"
A pearl appeared on her hand and was given to the man known as James Hamilton. With a movement of his head, he sent away the guards. He waited for them to be alone before going and study the little object that his sister just gave him.
"What is this?"
"Daaa… a pearl… did you really finish college?"
…
"I know it's a pearl but what is it for? Dad didn't say too much besides that you were coming here."
"If you screw up, I can come to rescue you and take you and some of your people back with me."
"I see… so it's a way for us to teleport?"
"Yeah! Now feed your little sister before she leaves."
"Sure, let me save this in a safe place."
James Hamilton stood up and followed by Janice both get into the house. The girl throws herself on a couch to rest a little and Hamilton moved to the study. He took a black box with golden details and emptied it before putting the Space Pearl.
The pearl was safeguarded there until they needed to break it and leave the city…

The vision ended with a surprised Spencer looking at it.
[Mission Complete: Find the Broken Space Pearl at Hamilton's house.

Reward: 75 System points, Broken Space Pearl]
[Mission: Study the Space Pearl
Type: Normal
Reward: ????
Time Limit: -----]
I looked that the piece of the pearl.
"Was it?"
"Yeah this was the mission, I have to study it more, but this is key to how the NDR escaped from the city."
I followed it by telling her the story I saw in there.
From the time I saw the little Hamilton teleporting great distances a long time have passed already so it wouldn't be surprising if her ability is even stronger right now, was the girl an A-Rank?
I thought about the method the girl used but my reference for B-Rank where completely different types of powers, Dante was an unspecialized telepath. If he was just able to talk with the mind would he be able to speak with people in other cities?
It was difficult to tell but what was sure was that Janice Hamilton despite being young and childish was one of the NDR trump cards. Being able to take all the high command of one city and move it to another was a massive advantage for them.
I wonder when I will be able to do something like that with my ability. I put the pieces of the pearl into a pouch and got ready to leave. The next notification that I was waiting for ringed on my ears, but it also brought with it the news that I somewhat expected after I saw the footprints on the side of the pool.
[Mission Complete: Destroy the remains of the blood pool.
Type: Chain (2/3)
Reward: 50 System points, 4 SP]
[Mission: Find and eliminate the corrupted beasts (0/5).
Type: Chain (3/3)
Reward: 50 System points, 1AP, 2 SP (Per kill) (0/5)
Time Limit: 20d 17h 26m 33s]
As I expected the spoiled mix of blood had a secondary effect on some of the beasts and animals that drank it. I had almost three weeks to complete it. I was tempted to go right away and fight them, but I had learned that I must never look down on the powers that some of this beast might have… and I don't know the kind of mutation that drinking this blood might have, so it's better if I inform the situation to Blake and we give a warning to the hunting teams first.
As I explained the situation to Rose, she agreed that it was better to gather a team to hunt those corrupted beasts down.
This would be the first time we would go out and hunt as a party.
As I thought about it I couldn't help but think about the situation with Hayley again…

A/N:
Hey guys I wanted to let you know about something.
I'm planning to resume my studies and classes are starting NEXT week.
I'm NOT dropping NOR going into hiatus, I started this, and I plan to finish it.
But there might be days that I'm not going to be able to publish chapters and the publish time might not as stable as usual as my writing times will depend on my classes.
I'll try to keep the daily updates, but I want to apologize in advance if there are days where I can't. I'll usually comment whenever something like this happens on discord or the author notes if I have exams or are too busy.
Since I might not be able to put all the chapters I want each week, I'll delete from the author notes the weekly chapter counter and I'll just release chapters every time I can, and try to not decrease the pace of the story.
Thanks, everyone for your support and I hope you guys understand.
