Chapter 7 - Resolution.

Mount Fu Sect is known to have 4 peaks; The Medical Peak, The Innate Talent Peak, The Weapons Peak and The Formations Peak. These are divided into divisions of specializations with their main base around Mount Fu.

The 'Benevolent Grand Master me' is currently lying on a bed in a room in the medical peak. I am currently feeling like someone who has all the cells in their body being cooked under steam yet still raw with a splitting headache and an unsettled stomach. I can vaguely hear voices conversing around me as I slowly come to, so I am sure that there are 3 people in the room but I am feeling too sore to move. Also my eyelids are as heavy as lead.

"Huang Di why hasn't she woken up yet? It seems you are growing old, it might be time to hand over your identity as the Heavenly Medical Sage to someone else. We have been taking care of you for nothing."

Huang Di is a middle aged man who is renowned for his medical prowess in the entire earth realm as he is known to used methods that are unheard of to cure ailments, and the populace believe there is no ailment he can not cure, hence the name 'The Heavenly Medical Sage'. His shortcoming though is that he is very eccentric and overly devoted to medical research.

He slightly frowned, "Elder Wu be patient, this is Ru Shi poison and as you know any ordinary person would have died the moment they were exposed to it. It is fortunate that it was made from her blood, so her blood can counter it as well." He turned with a scowl on his face. "Anyway, I am more interested in knowing why it was used on her, has her identity been exposed?"

Ru Shi poison was originally made with my blood as the main ingredient which already had multiple deadly poisons in it as I was used as a poison test subject while I was still in Shui Yu palace.

"I do not think that is the case otherwise the other party would know she wouldn't die from ingesting it and they would be putting themselves at our mercy if they knew her identity and still used it on her since the poison can only begotten from them in the first place. It only leaves one other option. They did plan to kill the Grand Master."

"This matter is obviously not as simple as it looks plus you mentioned that Elder Ye is involved."

"I have been away from Mount Fu for eighteen months now to oversee some of the changes Xiao Ru decided we would implement after Older Brother handed the sect leadership over to her and only got back this time to attend the Blood Dance Ceremony. Although I have been getting reports of the happenings here there are some matters which I am not quite clear about." He sighs as various emotions fleets through his eyes.

"Xiao Ru has never been one to be careless about such things so some of this would have been in her calculations and from what I have heard and seen, she has been playing the role of the gullible and inexperienced Grand Master quite well so our plans should not have been identified. The saying that if small holes are not mended big holes will bring hardship really holds true in this case."

"I for one do hope your Older Brother does not hear of this as I still value my life. No one will survive if he does".

As I listen to them chat and banter I cannot help but smile inwardly. Elder Wu is a sworn brother to my master and Uncle Huang is his close friend. They are also the only ones in the sect excluding my master who know my origin.

Although most of the activities of today were within my expectations, encountering the Ru Shi poison wasn't. I have never felt the need to confront or take revenge for my body's past owner in all the six years I have spent here. But right now, I can feel a gut wrenching rage, sadness, disillusionment and bitter resentment carousing through my veins.

Imagine almost losing your life from something made from your own blood. Although you were able to pull through because of the same ingredient it was made with, it's not in any way a pleasant feeling.

I do not know if it is as a result of ingesting the poison but all the feelings she had when she was living in the palace and being put through all the torture and pain are currently sweeping through me.

When I was living as a modern woman one of my favorite past times was reading the 48 Laws of Power and 33 strategies of War both by Robert Greene. Although I have currently been putting some systems in place within the sect and restructuring some of our processes, I think it's time to put some of those stratagems to work.

I circulate spiritual energy round my meridians and feel a bit better. My movement is noticed by Kita who stood from where he was seated previously and grabbed my hand "Master".

My eyelids flutter open to see a young handsome black haired youth in his signature all-white outfit.

Joining him was a middle aged man with streaks of white hair on his head along with Huang Di.

I slowly stretch my lips in what should resemble a smile while slightly squeezing the fingers nervously holding onto my right hand as I call out. "Uncle Wu. Uncle Huang".

Huang Di takes up my free left arm and checks my pulse. "You brat, the poison has already been subdued. I have previously requested that you allow me to perform experiments on you, not only are the poisons already present in your blood very deadly they don't react with one another instead co-exist like one family. Even just giving some of your blood to me will do mhhhmmm..... what do you say?"

"You old geezer, get away from my goddaughter. "Elder Wu muttered while pushing Huang Di to the side to hold my left arm. "Are you feeling better?" He asked. Looking at the worried look he has, I start to feel a bit better from my previous state of mind.

I nod in affirmation. "Uncle Huang thank you for your kindness today".

"What kindness, someone who is looking for an opportunity to cling to you? Moreover if he does not come, see if I won't personally deal with him".

"How can I not come when such a wonderful daughter needs me."

I sit-up with the help of Kita and turned to Elder Wu. "Uncle, please bring the Wu Xing here lets finalize the details of our plans."

His eyes furrowed as he look inquisitively at me "Is it okay to go along with the previous plans considering today's events?"

"It's okay. We don't need to side track because of this. Most of what happened were within my predictions only I didn't expect the Ru Shi poison to be included, but it is actually a blessing in disguise. Because of this new variable we will use our plan B. You will have to announce that am in a critical state and it isn't certain whether I would live. I would also have to trouble you to stay at the Sect till I return from Wei Tian Forest Range."

"Alright. But do you want me to handle the new variable?" He asked, looking to see my expressions.

I smiled as I looked into his eyes which were filled with concern and am inwardly happy I have so people in this life who are anxious about my well-being.

"Uncle there is no need for you to get involved. After I receive the necessary information from Wu Xing, then I will naturally treat them the way they deserve."

"What of Elder Ye?"

"Handle him as you see fit, only don't remove him from his position yet. He and his daughter would still have their use in the future."

I turn to Huang Di "Uncle Huang is my replacement mask ready?"

"I received it from him today" Kita replied. I stretched my hands and ruffled his hair. He must have been very scared today. I turned once more to Huang Di as I struck an idea " One more thing Uncle Huang, would you like to come with us to the forest range?" I asked.

His face shone with excitement as he answered "Of course."

I smile to myself. Let's go have some fun.
