Chapter 54 - Vampire Count

Since the high leveled soil he had acquired was enough for his current needs, Lucien decided to completely focus on training the Vampire Path, and thus progress even faster.

The usage of these crystals was not complicated, he just popped them in his mount like candy and the blood energy spread through his body, which he the controlled to follow the special routes and improve his Vitality.

He was going at 6 blood crystals a day, and 6 stat points per month. The crystals were barely enough for just over 3 months of training and bringing the Vitality to a solid 100.00.

Once he was at the peak of the stat, he needed another 3 months to understand the promotional diagrams and Vampire Particles well enough to be able to breakthrough, it was just that the promotional diagrams from different Paths were completely different in structure and meaning, it was like decoding an encrypted message, and the strong Soul definitely helped.

The strength of his Vitality was staggering, if a normal commoner needed around a month to heal a broken arm, Lucien needed a bit over an hour. And that was not all he could feel that the quality was different from before, even if a limb was cut, with enough time, he could regrow it. This was something a commoner wouldn't be able to achieve, no matter the length of time provided.

'I planned to start practicing the Darkness towards Rank 3 and practice All Lower Paths to Rank 1 on the side, but the opportunity that opened by my massacre is something I shouldn't miss, I can probably improve my Soul by a lot, and amass a lot of existence points.'

'I missed the deadline by 3 months, but that doesn't matter, it's time to join the army, heh.'

Lucien disappeared from the room, nobody knew that this tenant left.

Wiping the disguise in a place nobody could see him, Lucien walked towards the palace.

Nobody even asked him for identification when he reached the gate. Everybody could see some resemblance with the emperor, so even if most of them haven't see in person the third prince, they realized who he was.

Lucien didn't stop anywhere and directly went toward the throne room.

Entering the throne room, he saw some officials being angry and shouting at each other, while his father looked like he didn't even care about what was happening. Seeing Lucien made his eyes shine, it was as if he found the way to end this farce.

"Leave now, I need to speak with my son."

The officials looked towards Lucien, and one of them even glared, as if he ruined something important, just as they were about to leave, they heard a voice.

"Stop."

The officials were shocked, the voice came from Lucien, who some of them were seeing him for the first time.

"What do you need, prince?"

Only once of them actually asked politely, while the other remained silent. The official that glared, looked even angrier.

"Even if you are a prince, you don't actually hold any power, why do you think you can stop us from leaving."

"Oooh, amazing, so you are going to be my example, excellent."

The official was suddenly gripped by a bad feeling, the prince was looking at him as if he was looking at a clown.

Without being given a chance to say anything further, Lucien spoke.

"I want him executed for betraying the Royal Family, and his whole clan sent to the army that will set off towards the Myriad Beast Mountain."

Henry looked at his son smilingly, he had been worried his son would suffer a loss against these old foxes, but he was not intimidated at all. No matter how much power a prince holds, no official could afford to offend him, if he was intimidated and steps back on his own, it's his own weakness that let him down. Normally a 15 year old prince would still listen to these officials and wouldn't get in trouble with them, but Lucien was different.

He was planning to set an example towards these officials, he wouldn't get into trouble with them if they stayed out of his way, otherwise... no matter how benevolent he was towards commoners in the rumors, he was still a royal prince, not a sick cat.

Henry didn't even bother to explain anything to these second-rate officials, he just turned towards the steward on his side.

"You heard him, make it happen."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

A blur followed and when Lucien looked around, both the steward and the official in question were gone.

The rest of the officials were pale at this point, they didn't utter a single word of complain and slowly left the room, Lucien and Henry didn't even pay attention to their actions.

"So what brings you to me after more than a year, Lucien."

Lucien didn't beat around the bush.

"I missed the deadline, I want to join the army."

"As the prince?"

"Under disguise."

"Good, I would stop you, if you wanted to go as the third prince, you would probably die. You would be under attack from both sides. The reward on the head of a prince put by the other Empires, is enough to train a powerhouse for a clan. And the Beasts would certainly try to take out a future threat."

"I know, I just want to be treated as any other Rank 1 in the army would."

"I'll tell the commanders about you, I tell them you are a good seedling trained in secret by the imperial military, that should eliminate most of the trouble from our side, nobody wants to be on the bad side of the military, especially when there is no profits from killing you."
