Instead of simply waking up, Noah felt like he was tossed into the room from the ceiling. The pain of hitting the floor made him groan so badly, and falling even produced a sound loud enough to alarm Laquisha and the rest of the other guests. Noah wriggled on the floor and barely opened his eyes… to see Allan standing at his door.
Noah sat up with difficulty, trying to rub his back from the pain of landing without the cushion of the shadows. Laquisha helped him up to the bed, secretly keeping her laughs to herself. The last she saw was that Noah was sleeping on the bed on his side. The next thing she knew he was on the floor after a loud thud.
"Uncle… I mean—President..." Noah murmured as he consoled his arms. He looked up at Allan who sat down at the edge of the bed. Kace and the rest were outside, simply listening, but he didn't greet them. His eyes were all on Allan and the confused gaze the president was giving him. "...I killed the Pandemonium..."
