Mephisto's voice echoed in Noah's mind while the demon was latching on his neck as if drinking his blood. His words sounded like he was apologizing for a grave mistake, and Noah couldn't help but imagine the worst things Mephisto could apologize for. Feeling Luca somehow vanish caused a wave of anger and despair to surge over Noah.
It's just that…
"Tell me what you did. Then, I'll decide whether to forgive you or not."
Noah couldn't stop the ice from spitting out of his mouth. If something very bad actually happened to Luca, Noah would probably fight Mephisto over it. However, he had no knowledge of what the situation was like. Did Luca start the fight? Was Mephisto in danger? Is the sloth army in danger? If he quickly decided based on his emotion, then… he wouldn't be able to live down a mistake.
